Satellite Internet and Other Wonders

We had satellite internet installed yesterday and I’m in luuuurve. SO much better than dial-up. We live in the boonies, see, and satellite was the only fast internet service available to us.

They networked both our computers too, so my laptop has wireless Internet now. I can sit outside and pretend to write, while incessantly periodically checking my email and surfing the web. How cool is that?

Speaking of writing, I’m about halfway through with WITCH FIRE now. I’m so excited about these characters and their story. It’s been a while since I’ve allowed myself to be sucked so completely into my character’s heads. I’m incredibly happy that Berkley bought this book not only because (duh) BERKLEY BOUGHT MY BOOK, but also because I get to finish this story.

I love these characters so much and I’m very grateful I get to tell their story. 🙂

  1. Hey Anya! Cool new template! I like!! As for the wireless…BEWARE of the time sucking factor…or should I say…gain some self control because if not, you’ll be surprised how much time you spend wasting. And THIS is the reason I love my Dana because I can’t surf or check email. I can only write, write, write…hehe

    Hope all is well.

  2. Oh, yeah. I know ALL too well about the time suck factor. LOL,

  3. Hi Anya (and Patrice) I know too as a reader, I’m visiting here and so many books I want to get and read, LOL. But too wanted to stop by cuz I never stopped at your blog. I hope I get to visit more. I feel so behind, cuz I don’t think I congrats you on the Berkley book!! I’m thrilled for you! More for me to read from you! But too I didn’t know about the witch series, so I got lots of catching up to do!

  4. Congrats on being half way done! And yep, getting to finish character’s stories is wonderful.
