Okay, hold on…I’ve got lots to say.
It’s almost RT time!! Because of RT and because I’m soon to have house guests, I’ve been madly preparing…and not blogging. Maybe you have noticed the not-blogging part. I apologize, if so. Will you be RT? Say hi, okay? I’m super friendly, so don’t be shy. I will have my camera with me at RT and will try to blog from there. Sometimes I can manage this, sometimes not. I’ll certainly try, though!
Live in PA? I’ll be participating in a booksigning with Megan Hart and Lauren Dane on Monday April 14 from 6 – 8 pm at the Borders/Waldenbooks at the Lebanon Valley Mall in Lebanon Pennsylvania. I hope to see you there!
Witch Blood received a Top Pick review from Romance Reader at Heart!
Shannon says in part, “I love WITCH BLOOD! With its fantastic characters, complex plot and super hot scenes, this is most certainly a slam dunk Top Pick. Great writing, sci-fi scenery, witchery, crazed demons and so much more, WITCH BLOOD is a read that I cannot stop thinking about. I enjoyed every minute of it…. WITCH BLOOD is a read you do NOT want to miss.”
Thank you, Shannon!

Good luck!!
Behind closed doors, the real games beginโฆ
Winning it big.
That’s the name of the game at Las Vegas’s Liege Hotel and Casino, where the hottest fantasies hinge on a roll of the diceโฆand the tantalizing knowledge that anything could happen before sunrise.
Cocktail waitress Carinna wants a man to tie her up, not tie her down. Little does she know that her most willing partner yet has something else planned for this fiery Latina bombshell.
Dahlia is a burlesque dancer with a brain for business and a bod for sin. Her latest admirer may be a sweet-talking Casanova, but despite what he thinks she’s not giving anything away free.
Meanwhile, Amy has the perfect plan to rob the Liege Casino blindโฆuntil the intimidating owner catches her red-handed. Now she knows she’s going to payโฆ with both pleasure and pain.
Professional shill Cassidy is ready to experience a breathless rendezvous with her “friend with benefits.” But when he proposes five delicious nights of sexy blackjack, the stakes have never been so high.
(please don’t enter me in the contest)
I have noticed the ‘not blogging’ part, but I know so many of you guys are busy getting ready for RT, and even if your deadlines are behind you (yay!), there’s also real life.
Hare a great time, Anya.
by azteclady April 9th, 2008 at 5:41 amNo, I have not gone to Vegas… and the few places that I have gone to did not really have a wow factor for me. I did see a few new places on vacation, but seeing the sights is one thing… Vegas is in its own category!!!
by Colleen April 9th, 2008 at 9:44 amEnjoy yourself and relax a little!!! ๐
I’ve also never been to Vegas. Have a great time and I wish I was going.
by Teresa W. April 9th, 2008 at 1:51 pmHi Anya,
by limecello April 9th, 2008 at 3:18 pmExciting stuff, RT! I’m getting swept up in the hype, and so sad because I can’t go. I’m in classes/reading week, and law profs are very unforgiving. Congratulations on the new release! It sounds like a terrific book.
I just read Witch Fire and Witch Blood and loved them both. I’m going to “blog” about them soon.
Vegas… well, I went once, when I was 14, on a family vacation with other families. What were the parents thinking? I don’t know. It was fun, but DEFINITELY not as fun as it could have been. We also went with this militant mother who had an entire itinerary as to where we were going, and when. Even meals. It didn’t matter if you were hungry or not, if it was in the schedule, you were eating.
I was also supposed to go this past November for the NAPABA conference, but the girl who was supposed to help get funding flaked out the day before we were supposed to go (and told me about the lack of $$ then), so I didn’t get to. Haha, sad.
Otherwise… some great places I’ve been would be DC (“worked” there for 6 wks on capitol hill) and Taipei (Taiwan).
Enjoy RT.
A thrilling place to visit? Not for the same reason… I loved Vancouver, BC. It is a gorgeous city but doesn’t have the same feel as going to Vegas. ๐
by Ann M. April 10th, 2008 at 10:58 pmI have never been to Vegas. I have not traveled a lot. Hope you have a great trip. ๐
by CrystalGB April 11th, 2008 at 8:25 amHi Anya,
I’ve been to Vegas 3 times so far and will probably go next year. That city is ALWAYS growing and there is something for everyone!!! I’ve gone for different reasons and have never been disappointed.
My trip there 2 years ago was the most memorable though.
Have a great time at RT, I’d love to go to one of them someday.
by Dina April 12th, 2008 at 8:23 amwe went to las vegas and even though it was a fun trip. It’s not a place to go with kiddos lol. I almost go into a fight with one of those men that stand on street corners and pass out those necked ladies cards. They tried to give them to my 15 yr old son not a good move on his part. I let him have it. I want to go back without kids and see some of the shows.
by Pamk April 12th, 2008 at 6:24 pmHave a great time at RT!
It’s been 3 years since I’ve been to Vegas. The nekkid “lady” cards that they pass out…my husband was “collecting” them like they were baseball cards. lol
by Christy H. April 14th, 2008 at 4:21 pmMy last trip to Vegas was about 25 years ago. It was fun, but no where like it is now with all the great hotels, sights and shows. We actually have a trip planed in September, just the dh and me. Not sure where we are going to stay yet, any suggestions?
by Cathy M April 15th, 2008 at 12:43 pmI love hearing about all the RT prep! Sounds so exciting!
The Man and I went to Vegas for our 10th anniversary. It’s like Disneyland with free booze! Next time we go we’re staying at the Hilton. They have the Star Trek Experience and the best Paralyzers (but they call them Colorado Bulldogs) and I really want a pic of me straddling The Man in the captain’s chair. (I got one of me in the Borg chamber last time).
by Seeley deBorn April 15th, 2008 at 8:22 pmI’ve been to Vegas once and it was for a shotgun wedding. We had a lot of fun. I saw the pirate show at Treasure Island and went to the Bellagio for the buffet. There’s so much to do that you can’t possibly see and do everything while you’re there.
by Jane April 27th, 2008 at 5:53 pmHi, Anya! I haven’t been to Vegas, but I did have the pleasure to be able to go to NYC last year with a friend, and it was amazing! In four days we went to *six* museums, a Broadway play, Ground Zero, Liberty and Ellis Islands, and managed to get wherever we wanted to go via the subway, taxis and the metro system. Not bad for two small town girls! I’d go back in a heartbeat!
by Kady April 29th, 2008 at 4:05 pmI so can not wait to get my hands on both these books. Love the covers and the blurbs for them.
I went to Las Vegas for the first time last year in June with my fiance. We had a wonderful time we stayed in the Circus Circus hotel. We even got lucky on some of the slots ๐ I can not wait to go back. We are planning to go back soon. Even though it’s very hot there we had a wonderful time and want to go back. While we were there we went to a few stores there. We even found the M&M store all I can say for that one is WOW! I felt like a kid in a candy store. I took picture’s with two of the M&M’s that were there ๐ It was fun. Loved Las Vegas ๐
Hugssss

๐Well one of the more exciting places I have visited/lived in is Moscow. Such a different culture and way of life it was an amazing experience to have as a student. Making new friends who loved to celebrate & show us around (unknowingly a couple of times breaking or internal visa limits and making for a “James Bond”experience trying to not get caught by the militia. Also, crossing the USSR on a train and helping to smuggle a Mongolian girl who had no papers. Having some try to “buy” me for cattle in an Baky marketplace. Also, experiencing a russian hospital after breaking my arm and then being flown to Helsinki, Finland for an operation. Where I might say they have tall, blonde, blue-eyed hunky male nurses that really make you forget you are in pain…
by Michelle B. April 29th, 2008 at 4:25 pmHi Anya,
I maybe to late for this contest, but I wanted to say Hi and that I have enjoyed your Witch series so far. I have read Witch Blood and Witch Fire and look forward to the next book in the series.
I went to vegas for my honeymoon eight years ago today actually! We had a blast seeing all of the casinos and their unique architecture. We stayed at the plush Golden Nugget for a wopping $49.00 a night. What a bargin!
by Jill D. April 29th, 2008 at 4:39 pmLiving in Arizona, it’s not very far to Vegas. I go there at least 4 times a year, and for awhile when my grandkids played basketball, we went every summer to the basketball championships. I love it-the nightlife, the hustle and bustle, the surrounding scenery, and the many things to do.
by JOY April 29th, 2008 at 4:44 pmHi Anya,
WHIV sounds great, and I would love to win an ARC.
DH and I had tickets to go to Vegas two years ago, and our youngest son got very sick and was hospitalized, so needless to say that trip was cancelled.
We went on several cruises and I love the water around St. John. Absolutely beautiful, and the way the homes look like they’ve been tucked into the mountains just fascinate me.
by Lisa Freeman April 29th, 2008 at 4:49 pmI’ve never been to vegas but would like to someday. The most thrilling place I have been is Niagra Falls. I want to go back again. It is the most awe inspiring place. The magic. The force of nature you can actually feel. At night the lights are really awesome. ๐ โ โ
by Bridget April 29th, 2008 at 5:11 pmLove your books and I’m trying to win a copy of What happens in Las Vegas. Lol! good luck on all upcoming books
by Tameka Green April 29th, 2008 at 7:31 pmI was in Las Vegas in March. Had a great time. I meet up with my brother and sister there every Spring. We stay in a different hotel every year and see a different show. Still haven’t seen everything.
by Janet Gould April 29th, 2008 at 9:07 pmI was totally impressed with my first visit to Las Vegas. Bellagio blew me away with their water shows inside and outside. I loved the Cirque du Soleil – show “O”. It is a must see!
by Sue A. April 30th, 2008 at 3:36 amI would love to go to Las Vegas. Heard its a great city. Maybe one day. I’ve been to Hong Kong though before it was returned to China. Its a vibrant city, the illumination at night is out of this world!
by Tamsyn T. April 30th, 2008 at 5:05 amYes I have been to Vegas. The first time I went to Vegas as an adult was when I eloped. I was a sophmore in college and in the town that my parents lived in was a sheriff’s deputy (14 years my senior) I had seen him around during the summer and when I went home on breaks. June 1980, home for the summer, he asked me out…we went out Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday (he proposed!) and Thrusday we flew to Vegas. We got a room at the Stardust Hotel (outlaying rooms were $8.00/nt), we were tempted to wait til Friday to marry (it was the 13th) but chickened out and married at 11:30 pm on Thursday at the Silver Bells wedding chapel. We will be celebrating our 28th anniversary June 12. Needless to say that is the biggest gamble of my life…..I would say I definetly “Hit the Jackpot!” !!!!!! ๐
by Kimberley Coover April 30th, 2008 at 6:39 amI Love Las Vegas! Even when we stay in the least expensive hotels, I Love the experience, the night life and the excitement. A memorable experience was going to the top of the Eiffle Tower at Paris at night…what a view! Problem was, due to high winds and an approaching storm, it wasn’t safe to take the elevator back down, so everyone had to walk down….and it was a long walk, especially for those in high heels! My hubby and I had on our gym shoes, so we led the way down, and had some laughs while doing so. Viva Las Vegas!
by Jan Terr April 30th, 2008 at 8:00 amMy dh and I went to Vegas for a 2nd honeymoon. We had a blast! The light/fountain show at the Bellagio was wonderful. We felt that we could’ve spent a lot more time there than we did (4 days was just not enough ๐ ).
by Christina April 30th, 2008 at 8:47 am๐ I have never been to Vegas but i have a very rememerable time when we took our boat out at Hamstead Marina in N.C. It is beautiful there the different islands you can get out on and no ones there. My husband did not put the anchor down and just pulled it up on shore I had a vision of that boat not being there when we came back but he convinced me it was up far enough. well something told me to go check and for sure the boat was leaving LOL he ran across the island hollering foul language at me while he was swimming in the water to re-trieve the boat while i got my handy dandy cam-corder my back hurt from laughing so hard.
by Lori Barnes April 30th, 2008 at 9:31 amI have been to Vegas many times. I love it. The last couple of times was nothing thrilling but when I was single, I had the time of my life. A group of us from my then work went to attend a co-workers wedding. We drank and drank and drank some more. It was basically one big party. I paid for it dearly for about the next week but wouldn’t have changed it for anything. my impression of Vegas is that you see all kinds. It never fails to disappoint in that category. It’s a nonstop party and no difference between the days and nights. When driving thru the desert at night to get there, you start seeing the sky lit up at least 60 miles away. What a fun place to be!!!!!!!!!
by Vicki April 30th, 2008 at 10:33 amI haven’t been to Vegas, but Toko, Japan was definitley up there in the WOW factor of places to visit. It was 24/7 there as well, and just totally unlike anywhere in Canada.
by Judi April 30th, 2008 at 12:18 pmCongrats on your new releases!
Hi Anya,
What Happens In Vegas sounds great. We were in Vegas a couple of years ago…my husband’s folks live in a little town called Searchlight. I do like going to Vegas…it has a fun, anything goes vibe.
We had a nice relaxing time…left the kids with my folks here in Wyoming and went down with my husband’s sister and her husband. We just did what we wanted at our pace. We saw George Carlin and he is hysterical. It was nice to just go at our own pace.
I am hoping that I am not too late for the contest.
by Lori T April 30th, 2008 at 7:02 pmIt’s been quite a few years since I’ve been to Vegas. I loved it!! Glitter Gulch, the topless ( ๐ฎ ) dance show we saw, we still say we had THE best dinner EVER in Vegas, but the best was the people watching!! What a place to do it and I could sit there forever and just watch the people, forget the gambling!!! ๐
by Kim S. April 30th, 2008 at 8:31 pmI’ve been to Vegas several times. The Fremont Street Experience is always fun. The water show at Bellagio is spellbinding. We’ve seen the Pirate show once, the other times it was too windy. So much to do, but we never have enough time!
by Jodi S. April 30th, 2008 at 11:36 pmNo I have not been to Vegas. But I have lived all over most of the US. But the most thrilling place I visited is, I lived in Germany for three years. Did some traveling while I was there. I went to Italy, also stayed in the French Alps for a few days. Briefly visited a couple more countries.
by Anita Yancey May 1st, 2008 at 6:46 pmI went to Vegas in ’05 and had a complete blast! I went by myself which is dangerous because I love to get in all kinds of trouble. LOL! That’s all I’m sayin’… I stayed in Treasure Island but I love The Venetian. Madame Tussaud’s Wax Museum was fun.
by Melissa K. May 2nd, 2008 at 12:35 pmNightlife was fun ….OH, and I did a lot of walking. ๐
๐ฎ I would absolutely LOVE to win the ARC of VEGAS. I’m verklempt….talk amongst yourselves. ๐
