My answer: I’ll tell my second most embarrassing memory. Er…no wait, my third. Uhm. Never mind, I’m skipping this one. You tell me your most embarrassing memory. I’m allowed to skip a few questions since I’m the one giving away the books. New rule!

by JACKIE YOUNG September 19th, 2008 at 3:00 amGood morning Anya,
High School, I didn’t really have any per say: a lot happened met my hubby & my Dad passed away @ the end of my freshman year.
Now Middle School was a different: 6th grade year let’s just say my family develops early in chest development & in a large way. So, I got teased, a lot.
Thank you,

Oh the horror of the memory  I had a small (one line and standing in the background as a servant for scenery) role in a play put on by the Drama Club. I walked on stage, fiddled with the props, turned to deliver my line on cue, opened my mouth and …… belched. it was so loud that it echoed through the auditorium. as soon as i got off stage the director yelled at me, but it wasn’t like i could have helped it. My nerves had upset my stomach and that was what came out. Needless to say that while i still helped out the drama club, i never went on stage again. I hope i win, rehashing this is going to keep me in therapy for a while. 😉
by Valerie O. September 19th, 2008 at 4:18 amUh, were there any moments that weren’t embarrassing? If there were, I’ve forgotten them.
by Stacie Mc September 19th, 2008 at 4:25 amI was pretty shy and quiet when I started high school as we had just moved to a new area. I made a few friends when I began classes, but mostly studied and didn’t participate in many activities. In physical ed we (for some reason) had to take golf…we all lined up and were to hit the ball as far as we could. Well, all the girls barely moved the ball from the tee and the teacher who was standing quite a ways down the field hollered at us and said how bad we were and to try again. I hauled off and with no technique just really hit the ball and it flew down the field and hit the teacher. I was so embarrassed I left and went back inside the gym until class was over. Thankfully, the teacher was not badly hurt.
by Shari C September 19th, 2008 at 5:12 amI truly can’t remember. That was a horrible time for me. I had bad teeth, bad skin, lived in a rundown apartment house, and was poor. I’ve wiped all those bad memories from my memory bank and moved on…TG!
by Shirley September 19th, 2008 at 5:27 amMost embarrassing moment? Gosh! I’ve forgotten! But I’ve always hated myself in high school because I wore these really thick glasses and had bad fashion sense!
by bunny September 19th, 2008 at 5:40 amI wouldn’t say that high school was embarrassing, I just hated it. I never felt that I was able to be myself. Anyways, it’s over and done with and I am happier now 😀
by Natasha Armstrong September 19th, 2008 at 5:49 amI slipped into a puddle of yucky water when I was walkign to school, and it was in front of this guy that I thought was really cute.
by Cin September 19th, 2008 at 6:09 amMy bra unhooked during gym class.
by I Heaert Books September 19th, 2008 at 6:20 amI had a nosebleed when I started reading my English paper in class.
by P.C. September 19th, 2008 at 6:21 amThe gym sweats I had to wear sunddenly fell cause the elastic band snapped. It was soo embarressing.
by Z.M. September 19th, 2008 at 6:23 amI started my period a few days early in gym class, and of course I was wearing light pants!!!!! My best friend gave me a sweatshirt that she had in her locker, I wrapped it around my waist and RAN home..i was so mortified that I didn’t want to go back the next day, but nobody ever mentioned it so maybe it wasn’t too noticable, I hope.
by Cheryl McInnis September 19th, 2008 at 6:49 amA good friend and I had gotten into a typical teenage spat and she dug through old pictures and found one of me after I had gotten in a 3 wheeler accident and had a huge scabbed over road rash in the shape of a comet down the side of my face. she put it in a frame in the hallway where everyone could see it. Not exactly what I would have called a KodaK moment
by Sara Hurt September 19th, 2008 at 6:55 amWell, I once tripped UP the steps to the stage when I was being presented with a prize in front of the whole school assembly.
by DawnM September 19th, 2008 at 7:03 amSPLAT!
Ahh…well, since I already have the book, guess I am gonna skip this once! 🙂
by Preye September 19th, 2008 at 7:16 amWOW, I really don’t know. I was a wild child and things in German high school are so different then here in the US.
by Heidi September 19th, 2008 at 8:21 amI was standing in the hall talking to a friend and my ex lit the tag on the back of my jeans on fire! 😮
by Melissa K. September 19th, 2008 at 8:37 amLOL This is not something I want to go into [actually off the top of my head I can’t think of one] 😛
by limecello September 19th, 2008 at 8:45 amPlease don’t enter me into this drawing – I have this book, and I love it. In fact, Anya, I recently re-read yours and Lauren’s novellas in this book as a comfort read 😀
It was a science demo before the class, and I broke the equipment (glass beaker or something?) during but still had continue/complete the demonstration!
by Allison September 19th, 2008 at 8:47 amWe had to take gym, which I hated, and part of the class was swimming. We started with laps in the pool and about the second or third lap, I started sinking and had to be rescued. It was scary but I felt like such a klutz.
by DonnaB September 19th, 2008 at 8:48 amOk-totally not my fault, given that I had just eaten the school’s lunch, but I was in the SILENT library with 2 of my best friends, and I had to pass what I thought was going to be one of those SBV farts (Silent, but violent). Well, needless to say, it was not nearly as silent as I had hoped, and reverberated off of the wooden chair, amplifying the noise even more! OOPS!
by Jen September 19th, 2008 at 8:51 amSOO many other embarrassing moments from high school, but that was first to mind…
Most embarrassing memory in high school… I told a friend I had a crush on this guy… and what did she do, she walks up to him and tells him! Shy me denied it and walked away blushing, but later her and I had words… shockingly I stood up to her and told how I felt about her betrayal… We never talked again after that!
by Colleen September 19th, 2008 at 9:14 amWell, my most embarassing moment in high school was probably when my younger sister (to get me back for something) ran up to me in front of a boy I liked and told me the aliens were attacking! 🙂
by Lynn S September 19th, 2008 at 9:18 amOh I have a good one, er bad one…either way here it is. I was a junior in high school and was on stage singing in the choir for the christmas play. I guess the lights were too much or I hadn’t eaten enough because I started feeling dizzy and before I knew what happened, I had fainted. When I came too the paramedics were there..but not only for me. I had fell onto the standing microphone and it fell over the stage onto the Principals heads. He had to have 10 stitches for the gash in his head the microphone made. I was forever known as the girl who knocked out the principal.
by mary Kirkland September 19th, 2008 at 10:15 amMy most embarrassing moment if high school that I will talk about is when the Drama Club danced to a Madonna song at a Pep rally in front of the entire high school.
by Christiana September 19th, 2008 at 10:42 amWe had a dance where the girl asks the boy (rare back then). My best girlfriend talked me into asking a guy who was the best friend of the guy she was asking. Her guy said no and mine said yes. He hit the locker with his hand and said “I knew it”. I so wish I had handled it differently. Oh yeah he was Mr. popular and I wasn’t. To this day I still don’t know why he said yes.
by catslady September 19th, 2008 at 11:08 amA bird pooped on my head in gym, we had no showers and my parents wouldnt pick me up. Also rumors spread and everybody knew.
very embarrassing. lol.
by becky September 19th, 2008 at 11:53 amOne afternoon while sitting in class I had an ink pen in my mouth and was sucking on it and it exploded in my mouth. Had to get up and go to the restroom and wash my mouth out. My teeth and mouth were blue for days!
by Teresa W. September 19th, 2008 at 1:17 pmI got hit in the face with a volleyball in gym class. Luckily the ball wasn’t spiked that hard, so nothing was broken. My face was red from the impact and from embarrassment.
by Jane September 19th, 2008 at 1:29 pmHigh school was a horror for me. We were dirt poor, usually had no lunch and were teased about it.
by Estella September 19th, 2008 at 1:39 pmWow, amazing how I’ve blocked out the embarrassing memories from high school. I’m wracking my brains to think of them.
The only one comes to mind is… Walking through the hall to get to my next class, a guy friend of mine was playing around with my butt and I did not feel him. Then the little jerk was laughing at me and told me what he did. Yeah I was embarrassed and I clobbered him for that!
by Raonaid September 19th, 2008 at 5:42 pmWell, I inherited a large chest from my mother and one day while in the lunch line I realized that blouse button had popped open in a very embarrassing place. I had no idea how long I had been walking around this way and was mortified from then on I stopped wearing button shirts.
by Michelle B. September 19th, 2008 at 5:48 pmWhen I pucked after we had cooked in Homemak class. The teacher always remanded me of it.
by Patricia September 19th, 2008 at 5:54 pmI am not sure I really had any embarrassing moments from high school. It was high school of course, but for the most part, with the exception of just not being one of the popular girls, I had a pretty good time. I just went to school and played in the band and did everything that I could to survive until it was over. But looking back I almost wish I could go back and enjoy it instead of just making due. It is now interesting to see my oldest child going through high school and seeing how things are for her. I really hope that she can say in 16 yrs that she does not remember any embarrassing moments either.
by Dianna Fryer September 19th, 2008 at 6:59 pmHmmm. Asking 5 guys to homecoming my junior year and getting turned down
by Virginia Hendricks September 19th, 2008 at 7:35 pmOne of the most embarassing moments(there were many) was when my supposed BFFs stole a bra from my overnight bag at a party and gave it to the guys we hung out with. I was mortified, though relieved that I was allowed to buy pretty underthings and not just plain ol’ white. However, the guys taunted me by calling me DD (a unique nickname for someone named Shannon) whenever we were at school… and consequently for 2 more years until graduation. At the time it happened it was thoroughly embarassing to 16 year old me. Only later did I realize that it was something the other girls were jealous about. I guess their prank didn’t work out quite as they planned.
by sadieloree September 19th, 2008 at 8:02 pmThere are so many! Tripping and falling right in front of a guy I had a crush on is near the top. Fortunately I’ve managed to block a lot of high school out of my memory.
by Cynthya September 19th, 2008 at 9:01 pmoh my, what to choose from.. hmm here we go, I was goofing around on a spinning chair, fell out and split my pants right at the seam in the ass! geez, my cheeks were red, both sets!!!! lol
