What Happens in Vegas… by Jodi Lynn Copeland, Lauren Dane, Anya Bast & Kit Tunstall
Winning it big.
That’s the name of the game at Las Vegas’s Liege Hotel and Casino, where the hottest fantasies hinge on a roll of the dice…and the tantalizing knowledge that anything could happen before sunrise.
Cocktail waitress Carinna wants a man to tie her up, not tie her down. Little does she know that her most willing partner yet has something else planned for this fiery Latina bombshell.
Dahlia is a burlesque dancer with a brain for business and a bod for sin. Her latest admirer may be a sweet-talking Casanova, but despite what he thinks she’s not giving anything away free.
Meanwhile, Amy has the perfect plan to rob the Liege Casino blind…until the intimidating owner catches her red-handed. Now she knows she’s going to pay… with both pleasure and pain.
Professional shill Cassidy is ready to experience a breathless rendezvous with her “friend with benefits.” But when he proposes five delicious nights of sexy blackjack, the stakes have never been so high.
Want a chance to win it? Comment and answer the question below. I’ll draw a winner tomorrow morning. One entry per person, please.
What’s your most embarrassing memory from high school?
My answer: I’ll tell my second most embarrassing memory. Er…no wait, my third. Uhm. Never mind, I’m skipping this one. You tell me your most embarrassing memory. I’m allowed to skip a few questions since I’m the one giving away the books. New rule!

The winner of yesterday’s book, Everlasting Bad Boys, is Maered. Congrats! Please drop me an email via the contact form on my site with your snail mail.
Oh, and hey, you all, go on over to Maverick Authors and check out Patrice Michelle’s guest blog! She’s giving away a copy of SCIONS:INSURRECTION to one commentator.
In case you don’t know who the Maverick Authors are, it’s a group comprised of me, the most awesome Lauren Dane and the fabulous Megan Hart. We’re three friends who are authors too. I met Lauren Dane on LJ (Livejournal) many years ago. I’d sold a few books to Ellora’s Cave by that time and Lauren was looking to try and sell her first manuscript. Then we both met Megan at a small conference in Seattle Washington, after having also known her on LJ. I actually was acquainted with Megan before that, though, from an online crit group (writing critique).
They’re both great, talented people who are also very much alike. In person, together, they’re a riot. Watching them is better than going to the movies, let me tell you. At the end of a day spent in their company I hurt from laughing so much (er…not at them, with them).
Today I’m getting ready to head to RAW. I leave tomorrow morning and I still need to pack. Uhm, and I suppose figuring out how to actually get there would be a plus too.

Making Chase, Lauren Dane. This book autographed!
Book Four In the Chase Brothers Series.
Tate Murphy is a girl from the wrong side of the tracks. She grew up a million miles away from the easy life Matt Chase has had. She’s spent her life pulling herself and her siblings up and out of that trailer by the railroad tracks and she hasn’t looked back.
Matt Chase is a dream of a guy and she’s certainly not going to turn down a short fling with one of the most handsome men she’s ever seen! Matt Chase has watched each one of his brothers find love and he knows he’s ready for that too. It’s all a matter of finding the woman who captures his heart. He’s certainly sampled his fair share of them but none has moved him the way Tate Murphy does when he goes to her shop to thank her for some cookies and a thank you note.
But as Matt gets to know Tate and appreciate her strength and unique beauty, he also realizes she’s got some big self esteem issues about her past. To build a future, he’s got to find a way past some big road blocks.
Warning, this title contains the following: explicit sex, graphic language, some violence.
Want a chance to win it? Comment and answer the question below. I’ll draw a winner tomorrow morning. One entry per person, please.
Is there anything from your past that you wish you could change?
My answer: No, because all the decisions I made in my past led me to where I am today, and I like where I am.

Everlasting Bad Boys, anthology. (He’s got a big arrow pointing to his under eye area in this graphic. That won’t be on the winner’s copy.)
They’re bad boys–with that little something extra. Sexy, wild, out-of-this-world talents that can leave any woman feeling weak at the knees (among other body parts), they’re the ones to call when you want pleasure that lasts…and lasts…
“Can’t Get Enough” by Shelly Laurenston: Even for a dragon, Ailean the Wicked has a bad reputation. For 150 years he’s been renowned for his fighting prowess, but now he’s got a new conquest in mind–a gorgeous dragoness known as Shalin the Innocent. Ailean suspects she’s anything but. And while he’s saving her from her enemies, he plans to prove that, even in human form, a bad-boy dragon can show a girl a good time that’s truly off the scale…
“Spellbound” by Cynthia Eden: No witch in her right mind would summon an immortal soul-hunter to her aid, but Serena Tyme needs Luis D’Amil’s help to destroy the warlock who’s stalking her coven. And she’s willing to pay any price he names…especially when the tall, dark, sexy-as-hell assassin shows her he can work some sensual magic of his own…
“Turn Me On” by Noelle Mack: Finally, Beth Danforth has found a man who can flip her switch. That’s because supersexy Justin Watts, CEO of SpectraSign, is literally made of light. His dazzling, custom-built body can’t ever wear out. And talk about energy–Beth can’t get enough of the guy. The sex is electrifying. The love will never fade away…
What’s your favorite song on your favorite CD?
My answer: At the moment it’s Stop a Bullet, Black Light Burns, but it’s subject to change on almost a daily basis.

Witch Fire, by Anya Bast
Mira Hoskins doesn’t know she’s a natural born witch who possesses the rare—and powerful—element of air. She also never expected to find herself tied to a mahogany bed frame, captive to a man who aches to fulfill her every desire and let loose the magick that dwells inside her…
Heat emanates from elemental fire witch Jack McAllister. The Coven, a governing authority of witches, has sent him to protect Mira from a band of warlocks who drain witches of power… and life. Long ago, he saw Mira’s parents murdered by this same dark magick. He’d like to quell his guilt and offer her everything she deserves. But she’s the long-lost cousin of his boss—making seduction off-limits.
With Jack’s strong guidance, Mira is luring forth her inner magick. But his sense of duty is quickly swelling into insatiable hunger. They warned him about the natural attraction between air and fire. Now he risks being consumed by the woman he shouldn’t want—but can’t stay away from …

Wicked Game – Jeri Smith-Ready
Recovering con artist Ciara Griffin is trying to live the straight life, even if it means finding a (shudder!) real job. She takes an internship at a local radio station, whose late-night time-warp format features 1940s blues, 60s psychedelia, 80s Goth, and more, all with an uncannily authentic flair. Ciara soon discovers how the DJs maintain their cred: they’re vampires, stuck forever in the eras in which they were turned.
Ciara’s first instinct, as always, is to cut and run. But communications giant Skywave wants to buy WMMP and turn it into just another hit-playing clone. Without the station—and the link it provides to their original Life Times—the vampires would “fade,” becoming little more than mindless ghosts of the past. Suddenly a routine corporate takeover becomes a matter of life and un-death.
To boost ratings and save the lives of her strange new friends, Ciara re-brands the station as “WVMP, the Lifeblood of Rock ’n’ Roll.” In the ultimate con, she hides the DJs’ vampire nature in plain sight, disguising the bloody truth as a marketing gimmick. WVMP becomes the hottest thing around—next to Ciara’s complicated affair with grunge vamp Shane McAllister. But the “gimmick” enrages a posse of ancient and powerful vampires who aren’t so eager to be brought into the light. Soon the stakes are higher-and the perils graver-than any con game Ciara’s ever played…

Are you prepared for a zombie outbreak, or are you just going to wing it?
My answer: We are partially ready. We have a membership to Costco and are usually pretty stocked up on the essentials. We even own a few guns. We’d need to quick run to Lowe’s to stock up on wooden planks to cover the windows and doors, though. Hmmm…. Would wooden planks keep the ravening zombies from our succulent brains? Maybe I should rethink that part.
