Book of the Day: When He was Bad

When He was Bad, by Cynthia Eden and Shelly Laurenston

Two of paranormal romance’s bestselling authors combine their extraordinary talents and set the pages on fire with an after-dark anthology featuring Alpha males so hot, so wild, and so bad, they may just be the best you’ve ever had…

Shelly Laurenston, Miss Congeniality —

It’s those damn stockings that get me every time. They have this sexy little line down the back and I can’t help but stare at her legs-constantly. And you’d think she’d be all over me like every other female in the Seattle area. I’m young, good looking, and one day I’ll be Alpha Male of my family’s Pack. But Professor Irene Conridge acts like I don’t even exist. How is that possible? Now she’s got enemies coming out of the woodwork and I have to protect her. Why? Because that’s the kind of man I am. Yes, I am that amazing. Of course, it doesn’t hurt that while I work to secure her safety, she’ll be hanging out at my house. That’s hours-days even that I’ve got Irene Conridge right where I want her.

Cynthia Eden, Wicked Ways —

I’m too dangerous for her. I know it, but I can’t get my sexy new neighbor out of my head. When I hear her scream one night, the absolute last thing I expect to see is Miranda Shaw-star of my hottest fantasies-being attacked by a vampire. Now the undead jerk is after her, and I’m the only thing standing between the beautiful lady and a killer who just won’t stop. Well, too bad for him, because that vamp has just made the worst mistake of his afterlife-he’s tangled with a shifter. And Miranda, well, she’s so busy watching out for him that she won’t see me closing in on her-not until it’s too late-and I’m about to show her just how wild I can get.

Want a chance to win it? Comment and answer the question below. I’ll draw a winner tomorrow morning. One entry per person, please.

Describe your dream vacation.

My answer: White sand beach, warm blue waters of the Gulf of Mexico, margarita in my hand and my husband at my side. Oh, and I’d be deadline free.

  1. Honestly, just to go somewhere and not be concerned about what anything costs and be able to enjoy myself completely!

  2. this time of the year—the best vacation i can think of would be to go to Maine, walk along pathways in the woods, and watch the leaves change.

  3. Loved this book. Unlimited time to explore England, Wales and Scotland with a side trip to Ireland. History, culture, food and more history.

  4. I would love to go on an African Safari and get a chance to see all the beautiful native animals up close ( but not too close! )in their natural environment.

  5. I would love to visit France in the Spring Time, Not Paris, although i’d love to go there too, but Southern France in what is called the “Flower District” Where some of the world’s greatest perfumes are created. I’d love to walk throught the country side and just smell the flowers. Of course the great food and wine over there would be a plus also. 😀

  6. Private yacht, me and the captain, sailing around port to port, days at the beach, midnight strolls along the shore.

  7. I’d like to globe-trot and see all the great wonders of the world!

Spending time at all the wonders of the world. I would love to get to see Europe, parts of the old Soviet Union, Egypt, and any place else that is full of history.

  12. dream vacation would be open ended on time, so no “oh no, it’s almost the end of my vacation feeling!” Other than that, I love places with neat things to see, historical places with castles, or beautiful mountains, don’t need to be on the mountain, just like to look at them! 😉 But definitely with the hubby. Half the fun of it is being able to share something neat with someone you love! I wouldn’t mind seeing Egypt or Mexico either, but I’m a little afraid of the culture shock!

And I could say I’d like to take a reading vacation, where all I had to do was lay around and read, but I know that would only last about an hour before I was up and ready to do something! I am short attention span girl! 😀

  13. My dream vacation would be to Scotland…I do not know what really draws me to visiting there but one day I would definitely love to go.

Right now I would take a vacation anywhere and be happy. I definitely need a little break but cannot afford it right now.
