****This Contest is Now Closed****
Kat Matthews is in love…with her art. As a photographer, her greatest desire is to one day create a photo so potent that it will stand the test of time, the kind of picture that is looked at for centuries and remembered. If she can accomplish that, she will be content. While vacationing with her mother in Vale, Colorado, she meets an eccentric, rich couple who have a bizarre proposition. They want to hire her to date their son. And not just date him, but train him how to date so he’ll continue doing so afterward. As payment, they dangle a once in a lifetime opportunity in front of Kat – the chance to have her photographs seen by the owner of the most prestigious are gallery in New York. Their terms should be simple—teaching their reclusive son how to date without him finding out. Dr Vincent Richmond unwittingly holds the key to her dreams in his hands…if only he’d notice she exists.
Where you can find Michelle:
Web Site
Author Bio: Michelle M Pillow, Author of All Things Romance, is a multi-published, award winning author writing in many romance fiction genres including futuristic, paranormal, historical, contemporary, fantasy and dark paranormal. She co-hosts a live radio talk show, Raven Radio, which was recently mentioned in Romantic Times BOOKreviews Magazine.
Interview Questions:
1.) How did you get started in writing and how long have you been doing it? I’ve been writing professionally for five years. For the longest time, I thought I’d be a photographer and I did work freelance for a time. I’ve always loved to tell stories, whether it was with a photo or words.
2.) What genres/subgenres are your favorites to write within and do you have any aspirations to write outside your current genres/subgenres. Try something new? I currently write in romance genres—paranormal, contemporary, historical, futuristic, dark paranormal, fantasy and every combination thereof. I love to try out different genres. It’s what keeps my head fresh. Right now I have no plans to add more romance genres, but someday I would like to do some horror novels.
3.) What are you working on now and what releases do you have coming up? I just started a new alternate reality series with Ellora’s Cave called Divinity Warrior. It started March 25th with Lilith Enraptured. Book Two, Fighting Lady Jayne, releases in May 2009. Book Three, Keeping Paige, has just been contracted and I’m currently working on Book Four. I plan on writing several spin off series for these books on different planes of existence.
About the series:
In one of the many universes parallel to ours, Divinity Corporation has discovered the secret to moving between the planes. This has given them the power to do pretty much whatever they want without consequence or regulation. Whether it’s to ship unwilling brides in trade for minerals rights, to control everything from entertainment circuits to governments to academics, or simply gain that which every greedy corporation wants–Power.
4.) Anything else you’d like to share? Readers are welcome to join my newsletter where they’ll hear about all my new contracts and releases. (LINK: http://www.michellepillow.com/newsletter/?p=subscribe ) Or on my biweekly radio show every 2nd and 4th Wed. (LINK: http://www.blogtalkradio.com/ravenradio ) co-hosted with Mandy M Roth. We interview different people and take calls from listeners.
Readers, here is the contest part. Answer this question in the comments to be entered in a drawing for a copy of BIT BY THE BUG. Check back to tomorrow for the announcement of the winner. The winner will have until May 5th (that’s the last day of the contest) to contact me in order to collect the prize. This contest IS open to non-US entrants, but winners outside US will get a download of one of Michelle’s backlist titles in PDF).
Michelle is asking this one — Since my newest books are about alternate realities and different versions of the same worlds, I’m curious, if you could live inside a movie’s world, which would you choose? And would you be a certain character?
Michelle says: I would have to say Pride and Prejudice. Come on, who wouldn’t want to live happily-ever-after with the handsomely rich Mr. Darcy in that mansion? Or, perhaps, a world filled with vampires and lycans. Yeah, I know, it’s a 180 turn from Mr. Darcy, but as long as I was the heroine and not the meal I think it could work.
So, readers, how about you?

Madison’s needs are simple. All she wants are two things: Make Ooo La Latté the newest trend in espresso, and seduce the sexiest cop in Seattle. But things aren’t going exactly as planned.
First, Gabe’s a little hung up on the fact that she’s his best friend’s little sister, and he’s determined to keep his hands off. Second, her shop gets robbed by the increasingly violent Espresso Bandit, and now she’s the only one who can identify him.
Gabe whisks her into hiding for her own protection, but soon finds his heart is under assault by the luscious—and persistent—Madison. But no matter where they hide, danger follows.
On such dangerous grounds, the trick will be to live long enough to keep the flame alive.
You can find Shelli:
Web Site
Author Bio:Shelli read her first romance novel when she snuck it off her mother’s bookshelf when she was eleven. One taste and she was forever hooked on romance novels. It wasn’t until many years later that she decided to pursue writing stories of her own. By then she acknowledged the voices in her head didn’t make her crazy, they made her a writer. Shelli currently lives in the Pacific Northwest with her young daughter, where she is President of her local RWA (Romance Writers of America) chapter. When not writing, Shelli enjoy music, reading, being outdoors, exercising, and spending time with her family and friends.
Interview Questions:
1.) How did you get started in writing and how long have you been doing it? I’ve always been a writer. Even as a kid when I would write my own versions of Sweet Valley High. Granted they were a lot sexier. I only became serious about writing in my early twenties though. I sought out advice from my dad’s cousin who wrote regencies, joined the RWA, and the rest is history.
2.) What genres/subgenres are your favorites to write within and do you have any aspirations to write outside your current genres/subgenres. Try something new? Gosh, I’m already a bit of a genre hopper. I’ve done contemporary, romantic suspense, paranormal, and futuristic. All pretty spicy/erotic. I love to write any story and have a suspense hook. So some day, I can see myself really going hardcore into a spicy romantic suspense. I love a good suspense thread. Action stuff.
3.) What are you working on now and what releases do you have coming up? I’m working on a proposal for my option book with the Kensington Aphrodisia line. It’s a hot shifter story that shows what happens with two side characters I introduce in my novella in the Sexy Beast VII anthology.
Readers, here is the contest part. Answer this question in the comments to be entered in a drawing for a copy of DANGEROUS GROUNDS. Check back to tomorrow for the announcement of the winner. The winner will have until May 5th (that’s the last day of the contest) to contact me in order to collect the prize. This contest IS open to non-US entrants.
Name a favorite author, living or dead. If you went to lunch with him/her, what burning question would you ask?:
Shelli says: Hmmm. I’d do lunch with Lora Leigh and ask her how she makes her heroes so damn yummy.

He sees her, wants her, needs her…
Chicago Detective Ryan Daire has many secrets: a love for Shakespeare, an appreciation for the all the finer things in life, and an absolute lack of restraint in the bedroom. Now he has an even bigger secret. In every shifting shadow of the sprawling mansion he’s recently inherited he can see her—tempting, ethereal, and untouchable. Hope Stillwater inhabited that mansion in 1906. Raw desire has formed a conduit between these two passionate souls who are separated by the barrier of time.
Now he has to have her.
Intoxicated by each other’s presence, Ryan and Hope are closer than ever to crossing that inviting boundary between two worlds. But there is one grave danger: Ryan’s job has put him on the trail of a depraved criminal in an investigation that’s risking Hope’s eternal fate and happiness. Now he must do whatever it takes to change history, protect Hope from harm, and set his own desires free.
You can find Beth:
Web Site
Author Bio: Beth Kery grew up in a huge house built in the nineteenth century where she cultivated her love of mystery and the paranormal. When she wasn’t hunting for secret passageways and ghosts with her friends, she was gobbling up fantasy and romance novels along with any other books she could get her hands on. Currently she juggles the demands of her career, her love of the city and the arts and a busy family life. Her writing today reflects her passion for all of the above. Beth writes for Berkley, Ellora’s Cave, Samhain and Whiskey Creek Press.
Interview Questions:
1.) How did you get started in writing and how long have you been doing it? I was first published with Ellora’s Cave in January of 2007. Before publication, I wrote for about two years.
2.) What genres/subgenres are your favorites to write within and do you have any aspirations to write outside your current genres/subgenres. Try something new? I’m in an erotic contemporary phase at the moment, but I also love paranormal and historical. Daring Time, which is a time travel, was ideal for me, because it contains elements of a contemporary, paranormal and historical. I’d like to try a romantic suspense. Several of my books already contain suspense elements, but I’ve never done a pure romantic suspense.
3.) What are you working on now and what releases do you have coming up? I just finished up an erotic contemporary for Berkley Heat called Release, which will come out in February of 2010. As far as upcoming releases, I have a paranormal coming out at Ellora’s Cave on 4/29/9 called Through Her Eyes, Daring Time on 5/5/9, an erotic contemporary from Berkley entitled Sweet Restraint on 7/7/9, and another erotic contemporary called Paradise Rules on 10/6/9.
4.)Anything else you’d like to share? Not that I can think of, Anya. Thank you for having me, and hello to all of your readers.
Readers, here is the contest part. Answer this question in the comments to be entered in a drawing for a copy of DARING TIME. Check back to tomorrow for the announcement of the winner. The winner will have until May 5th (that’s the last day of the contest) to contact me in order to collect the prize. This contest IS open to non-US entrants.
You’ve just inherited 20k from a long lost relative. The only stipulation is you must spend it in a frivolous manner–no paying bills, no saving it. What do you do with the windfall?:
Beth says: Oh, fun question. I’d use it to travel in Europe and Egypt. I love to travel, and although I’ve been to various places in Europe several times, I’ve always had a dream about seeing the pyramids. Travel is so expensive at present with the exchange rate, so yeah…thank you long lost relative and hello Sphinx and the Eiffel Tower.
Okay, blog readers, how would YOU spend the money?

She enjoys writing erotic romance because it allows for full exploration of the developing relationship of the main characters. In her free time, she attends college, reads, gardens, travels, plays golf (badly), goes bowling with her family, and cooks.
Interview Questions:
1.) How did you get started in writing and how long have you been doing it? I’ve always been a scribbler and had several teachers in school tell me I had a gift. I didn’t consider it as a real career option until after I got married. My husband encouraged me to quit my day job and try writing full-time. I’ve been writing seriously since 2000.
2.) What genres/subgenres are your favorites to write within and do you have any aspirations to write outside your current genres/subgenres. Try something new? I enjoy all forms for romance, and erotic romance is probably the most fun to write. I also write horror and children’s novels, but probably won’t be crossing genres any time soon.
3.) What are you working on now and what releases do you have coming up? I’m working on a contemporary for Ellora’s Cave. Aside from the Vegas 2 release, I anticipate having another in the Hunters series out at Loose Id later in 2009 or early 2010.

Readers, here is the contest part. Answer this question in the comments to be entered in a drawing for a copy of ASKING FOR IT. Check back to tomorrow for the announcement of the winner.
