My good friend Lauren Dane and I both have a new release on January 5th, 2010. To celebrate we’re teaming up to bring you this contest. Thirteen chances to win books, plus a shot at winning your very own Nook!
Two contests:
1.) The main contest is for the Nook and it ends on January 5th. This post will remain sticky so people can enter until then.
2.) The Book-a-Day contests will be daily, except for the 24th and 25th of December (Christmas, y’all). Check back here and on Lauren Dane’s blog (http://www.laurendane.com/blog/) to enter those. Scroll down past this sticky post for those. There’s one today, so scroll on down.
HOW TO ENTER FOR A SHOT AT THE NOOK:
1. Copy the code (click on ’share’) of the graphic above and post it to your blog. Add a link to my blog from your blog, saying something like, “Click here to enter Curl Up with a Book…and a Nook Contest”.
2. Publish your blog.
3. Come back here and reply to this post with a link to your blog entry and your answer to the following question: What new books are you looking forward to loading onto your Nook (should you win it) in the New Year?
If for whatever reason you’re technically challenged and can’t post the graphic, that’s okay. Just blog about the contest and provide a link to it. That’s a totally fine alternative.
What if you don’t have a blog?
Tell at least one other people about the contest who you think might want to enter. Post about it in a forum, on a loop, a friend via email, on MySpace, Facebook ect. Obviously, I can’t verify if you did it or not, so this is on the honor system. Once you’ve done that, reply to this post and tell me about it. Oh, and don’t forget to answer the question: What new books are you looking forward to loading onto your Nook (should you win it) in the New Year?
BOOK-A-DAY CONTESTS – more chances to win!
Be sure and check in every day from December 21st to January 5th. I will be giving away THIRTEEN books by Lauren Dane and she will be giving away THIRTEEN books of mine over on her blog (http://www.laurendane.com/blog/). Check back every morning on this blog and also on Lauren’s blog (http://www.laurendane.com/blog/) to enter for a chance to win that day’s book.
Drawings will be done randomly out of a bowl, so blame my husband or my daughter if you don’t win. Check in the next day for the winner of the previous day’s book.
Rules, Regulations, Flotsam & Jetsam
The biggie: You must be at least 18 to enter! By entering this contest you’re saying that you are at least 18 years of age. Not all of the books that will be given away are erotic, but some of them REALLY are.
As far as the book-a-day winners go, I will pay for international postage, so if you win a book during the course of the month and live outside of the U.S., no worries on that score.
All postage within the U.S. will be media mail, so you’ll have to be patient for your book to arrive, in the event you win one.
You can win more than one book. This is all by random drawing, so I have no control over who wins what. Some people just luckier than others.
You must answer the posed question in your reply to be entered. This is supposed to be fun!
Other authors are totally eligible to enter. Authors are readers too, after all.
Lastly, this contest is VOID WHERE PROHIBITED.
If you want to know more about Wicked Enchantment, the first full-length novel in my new Dark Magick series, click here. You’ll find the first chapter and the book video.

Lauren Dane,
Anya Bast
Lora Liegh
Jeannie Frost
Patricia Briggs
Sherrilyn Kenyon
Ilona Andrews
Carrie Vaughn
Rachel Vincent
JR. Ward
and probably man more I am forgetting off the top of my head
Yikes… forgot to list the books I’m looking forward to adding to the Nook… Wicked Enchantment, of course, along with Fury, Tranquility and Mikah’s Magick since they’re free downloads. Then I have to dip into my mad money stash and download Sweet Enchantment and then Witch Fire, Witch Blood, Witch Heart and Witch Fury (all the previous books are Anya’s, of course).. Then, while I build up more mad money I’ll go to AllRomance.com and download all of their free books before heading back to pay for the rest of Anya’s books. Only lack of funds would prevent me from getting her ENTIRE booklist before downloading anyone else’s free stuff. LOL
Anya, you ROCK!
by Donna Holmberg December 21st, 2009 at 7:37 pmI posted it to my facebook status. And you and Lauren are both on my friend list so you can even check if you want 😉
As far as what book do I most look forward to downloading, that is a VERY tought question to answer – so many good books, so little time! I’ll start with Witch Fury since I haven’t had a chance to read it yet.
by Nicole December 21st, 2009 at 7:39 pmAnother cool tweet for you
http://twitter.com/one6ylady/status/6914924137
I’d also add Renee Reeve’s “Night Angel” to the list.

Wicked would be my first since I don’t have it yet…that could change though in the next few days. I’m pretty obcessive compulsive when it comes to books so I have a tbr pile of about 300 or so, but that doesen’t stop me from needing more! lol
Sherrilyn Kenyon – Born of Night, Christine Feehan – Street Game, Katie MacAlister – Me & My Shadow, Rachel Vincent – Shift, JR Ward – Covet, Lauren Dane – Sweet Charity, for starters!
by Darla December 21st, 2009 at 7:48 pmI posted on my facebook. And I just want all of the books of all of my favorite authors.

I posted on my blog, http://dragonsloss.blogspot.com/2009/12/curl-up-with-book-and-nook-contest.html.
Books I’m looking forward to:
by Cory December 23rd, 2009 at 9:45 amFire and Ice (short story) by Sherrilyn Kenyon

Flirt by Laurell K. Hamilton
And I’m sure there are plenty of others that I can’t think of at the moment.
What a great contest!
I posted the info on my book blog:
I January I would put on the Nook:
by Sabrina December 23rd, 2009 at 11:47 amLead me on – Victoria Dahl (Jan 10)
Forbidden Heat – Opal Carew (Jan 10)
The Taking – Erin McCarthy (Jan 10)
To tame a dangerous lord – Nicole Jordan (Jan 10)
Coming Undone – Lauren Dane (Jan 10)
Wicked Enchantment – Anya Bast (Jan 10)
I do not have a blog but I did send out an email to six people in my email letting them know about the contest. I also am going to put it on my facebook.
After finding the Blackraven blog I now have tons of ebooks that I want to get. I really want Taken by, Ms. Bast and Coming Undone by, Lauren Dane. I also like Kris Cook and, Liz Andrews to name a few. My to read list is in the 100’s. Thankfully (with the exception of my wallet LOL) I read fast. I also am able to read at work (have the best job LOL) so it does not take me very long to read a book. I love when they are so good you can go back to reread them. I def want to get Shayla Black and Kresley Cole books in ebook…easier to take with me.
by Foretta December 23rd, 2009 at 12:42 pmHi Anya! I don’t have a blog but I did send your blog link to a friend of mine who writes very steamy Twilight FanFiction and I hope she shares it with her friends on Facebook.
I have a whole list of books to read in 2010, one of which is your book, Witch Fury (not trying to get kiss-up points, it’s on my list!), and many others I’ve discovered through Writerspace.com .
by Missy December 23rd, 2009 at 1:44 pmPosted your contest on my FB page (see linky, hope it works)

I can’t wait to load lots of books. I plan to use an e-reader to load books that come out in hardback (ex. Dreamfever). I really don’t like carrying around those huge hardbacks. If a book is released in paperback, I’ll continue to buy it in book form.

There are so many books I would grab if I had a Nook. I’m relatively new to paranormal romance and urban fantasy, so I see authors that I want to try every day!
Also, I’d load up anything and everything from Neil Gaiman, Margaret Atwood, Christopher Moore, Terry Pratchett and Stephen King. New stuff or old stuff, I just like the idea of having them right there with me.
Thanks for the opportunity!
