Eden Emery is no stranger to sin. To keep her sister safe from harm, she’s paid a steep price with her body—and very nearly lost her soul. But when Baron Ivor Hartford, the very Devil himself finally dies, her troubles are far from over.
Major Stuart Hartford, the late baron’s nephew, is in the market for an honorable wife, but first he has to take care of the matter of his Uncle Ivor’s ward—a young woman who makes him question the virtue of being proper. For the passion she incites burns away his inhibitions and inflames his heart.
But Eden has vowed to never again cede her destiny to a man. And Hart is left with no choice but to tempt the temptress herself, to show the woman he longs to possess forever that passion can heal, that the sins of the past can be overcome, and that submission can be the greatest power of all.

I LOVE reading and learning about ancient greece, rome, and egypt!
by Becky Jean August 25th, 2010 at 5:44 amMedieval times. I’m sure it can’t have been too great back then, with hygiene being questionable with everyone, but there’s something so fascinating about times when Princesses and Knights in shining armor existed.
by Kate C August 25th, 2010 at 5:46 amI love medieval times, Greece, and mythical times like King Arthur.
by Stephanie McCarthy August 25th, 2010 at 6:33 amOkay so I’m going to try to not be a dork here. Because I love history! Weirdo history buff, present and accounted for. So it’s kind of hard to choose. I know sad, but true. But I’m a fan of the Italian Renaissance. So many different people and events were packed into this time period. Very cool.
by Rae M. August 25th, 2010 at 6:43 amI love the London Regency period. Between Julia Quinn and Lisa Kleypas, I’m hooked!!
by MinnChica August 25th, 2010 at 6:48 amthe period of the American Old West. I have always enjoyed reading about that time, how they were able to carve out a life in such hard circumstances, to open up the country for future generations.
by Jean P August 25th, 2010 at 7:09 amI would like to see what China in the old days was like. Its fascinating to read its history and the bloody wars through the ages. Wouldn’t want to live in that period though!
by Tamsyn T August 25th, 2010 at 7:21 amI would like to see what China in the old days was like. It is fascinating to read its history and the bloody wars through the ages. Wouldn’t want to live in that period though!
by Tamsyn T August 25th, 2010 at 7:22 amI love reading about The Regency, The Old West and Scottish Highlanders in Historical and Paranormal romance. Reading about these times is the best History a reader can get.

by Amanda August 25th, 2010 at 8:04 amRegency England fascinates me. All the lords, ladies, balls and the clothing.
by CrystalGB August 25th, 2010 at 8:44 amElizabethan. Queen Elizabeth has always fascinated me. Shakespeare. The clothes. don’t know about the hygiene and stuff, but the rest has always appealed to me.

The regency time period is interesting to me. All of the ton and things.
by Lexee August 25th, 2010 at 9:13 amWhen I first began reading historicals, I was mad for both the regency period and America circa 1800’s. I still enjoy them occasionally but would like to read more about ancient China during the various dynasties.
by kylie August 25th, 2010 at 9:24 amThere are a few that interest me… lately I have been wanting to know more about Pagan Ireland… druids, magic, and more!
by Colleen August 25th, 2010 at 10:04 amAside from the Regency period (thanks to Jane Austen), I’ve always been interested in ancient cultures. All are intriguing, but I’m especially fond of Egypt, Greece and Rome.
by Jacqueline C. August 25th, 2010 at 10:10 amI love the regency period. Maybe I love it, because my favorite book is Pride and Prejudice, or maybe I love the fashions and the manners.
by Marlene Breakfield August 25th, 2010 at 10:36 am.Medieval Scotland has always been a fascination to me, I am sure a lot of that stems from being Scottish.
by alba August 25th, 2010 at 11:11 amThey were not as Glamorous at the English unless you had his ear. But they were protective people still are to this day….
Have a wonderful day…
I so loved the excerpt ( not long enough) The cover is beautiful .

i love medieval times.
by REGINA ROSS August 25th, 2010 at 11:11 amI too love medieval times, swordplay and strong men and chivalry. At least the fantasy of it all 🙂
by catslady August 25th, 2010 at 12:23 pmI started reading historicals as a teenager, so they continue to hold a special place – there’s just something about a chivalrous knight or a Lord and his Lady.
by Devon August 25th, 2010 at 12:58 pmScotland, England, and Ireland are my favorite settings, and pretty much anything from the time of William the Conqueror through the Victorian age works for me.
My favorite historicals involve Scotland and Ireland. Time period for those don’t matter. I would like to expand my historical horizon though and read some ancient Rome or Greece ones. Basically, the setting/time period doesn’t matter to me as long as the book is great!
by Ashley L August 25th, 2010 at 1:23 pmI love all history periods as I find history extemely interesting. One of my favorites is during the period of Queen Elizabeth I. I think she is a very interesting person with all that she accomplished and did.
by Larena Wirum August 25th, 2010 at 2:34 pmAncient Egypt… the land of pharaohs and the building of the pyramids.
by Tracey D August 25th, 2010 at 2:53 pmI love reading about American Pioneers. Moving west must to virtually unexplored territory would have been so exciting.
by Janel August 25th, 2010 at 3:11 pmI love reading about the dynastic periods in China–of course, as with all time periods, it was much more fun to be wealthy then 🙂
by Fedora August 25th, 2010 at 4:43 pmI was always fascinated with the period that included Mary Queen of Scots. Why? No real reason- I probably liked the cover on a book I had picked up, LOL!
Thanks for the giveaway!
by Joanne Schultz August 25th, 2010 at 4:51 pmI love reading about any period – but one I would love see more about, is 16th -17th century Europe. I spent 9 months working & studying (not history) in a castle on Austrian Hungarian border and have been facinate by that period and the stories since. I think there are so many interesting tales that could be told about the Hapsburg women in Austria-Hungery, Holland, Spain (romances, adventures and political dramas).
by Larenda August 25th, 2010 at 5:06 pmI love history period but if I had to choose….Ancient Rome. All considered it was really advanced but behind and decadent @ the same time…a fascinating study in contrasts that assimilated so much & made it uniquely Roman. Love history!
by Ivy August 25th, 2010 at 5:37 pmI am a sucker for a sexy Viking. Ever since I read Micheal Crichton’s Eater’s of the Dead (10th Century)I have been fascinated with Viking heroes. The 13th Warrior just made it worse. Now I have pictures to go with my running sword man fantasies. A sword swinging Scot is a pretty close second.
by Rory g August 25th, 2010 at 6:58 pmEver since I saw the movie “Gone with the Wind”, I wanted to know everything about the American Civil War period – the clothing of this period, the conflict between North and South that went deeper than the slavery issue, the war that drove family apart, weapons that were invented during the war, military strategies, and stories regarding the haunting of Abraham. I don’t think anyone can think of the Civil War without the association of Scarlett O’Hara’s and Rhett Butler’s love story.
by Kai W. August 25th, 2010 at 8:15 pmI absolutely love the Tudor era in England. I don’t know why, but I’ve fallen in love the the historical figures of this period. I think it’s probably a lot of good books that makes me feel like I know them.
by Audrey August 25th, 2010 at 9:00 pmHi i would say 1000ad – 1700ad. I love the whole castle, knights, lairds and viking thing. I love Scotland the best but when it comes to historicals I just love em all!!!
