Defined by magic. Ruled by desire.
In the Court of Edaeii, magic-imbued Evangeline is rewarded for her gift in manipulating emotion with a sapphire stone set into the perfect curve of her lower back. Her greatest rival in the royal court is the enigmatic Anatol, instilled with the power of illusion. He may better her in magic, but he is her absolute equal in passion.
They share something elseβtheyβre both targets of low-born revolutionaries bent on overthrowing the palace of the privileged few. Rescued from the mobs by Gregorio, the brilliant revolutionary mastermind, theyβre given sanctuary. But in this warm refuge, Evangeline soon finds herself torn between the magic of one man she has always desired, and the excitingly new and radical moves of another. For her, there is only one choice.
Evangeline, Anatol and Gregorio come together as one to explore the possibilities of love beyond reason, and to indulge in pleasure without limits.
You can read the first chapter of this novel here.
THIS NOVEL HAS A RELEASE DATE OF NOVEMBER 2nd. This contest is for an early copy of the book. Want a shot at winning it? Reply to the following question and don’t forget to check back tomorrow to see if you’ve won.
It’s almost autumn in the Northern Hemisphere and nearly spring in the Southern. Are you looking forward to the change of season, or sorry to see the end of the one you just had?
I’m not looking forward to the end of the summer becasue it means the end of the long hours of daylight. As the sun starts to set at 7:30 now I already miss those June nights with daylight past 10pm.
by Larenda September 6th, 2010 at 2:09 amI’m temporary living in San Francisco and finding a lack of clear delineation between seasons here. I’m used to four different seasons and have found that living here, I’m missing that clear transition of seasons, even the rain, snow and cold.
by Sue A. September 6th, 2010 at 2:38 amI’m glad to be rid of winter. Basically, the rain is problematic, because it stopped me from walking, and considering walking is the only exercise I do…
by Tez Miller September 6th, 2010 at 2:40 amFall is my absolute favorite time of the year. The leaves put on their beautiful display, the weather is crisp and perfect for a stroll. The heathen’s (translation: my kids) are back in school and life would be perfect if I didn’t know snow was lurking around the corner waiting to ambush me.
by Rory g September 6th, 2010 at 3:21 amNormally, I would be sorry to see fall arrive because that means winter and cold are around the corner. This year, I’m welcoming fall with open arms. This past summer has been miserable..days with over 100 degres, humidity, and over all crankiness.
I have been enjoying the past few days (low to mid 80’s). I’ve opened the windows and let the fresh air run through my home; it’s wonderful.
by Tracey D September 6th, 2010 at 4:56 amI’m of half a mind about whether I’m looking forward to the season change or not. Here in Wisconsin it’s about to change from Summer to Fall and Winter…and I hate the cold. On the other hand I’m happy to have Summer leave because of all the thunderstorms we’ve been hammered with. They’ve left me without power 7 times in August alone. I will certainly not miss that.
by Becky September 6th, 2010 at 5:17 amim so happy that fall has arrived because it means halloween is just around the corner and with 4-daughters who love to dress up for halloween night, its a blast. π
by REGINA ROSS September 6th, 2010 at 6:10 amI enjoy season changes. I find summer too hot and winter too cold…hehe!!! So, the cooler spring and autumn are a relief.

I am looking forward to the fall. My birthday is tomorrow (yaaay) and I love that the leaves start turning, it is cool… jeans and a t-shirt weather. Halloween! Oh, I am sad to see Summer go, but I have been waiting for Fall! Fall is my season π
Thanks for the contest, Anya! I’m dieing to read Jeweled!
by Julia @ Rex Robot Reviews September 6th, 2010 at 6:54 amI am looking forward to the cooler weather of autumn here in Michigan. The heat and humidity has been relentless this summer and I am ready for sweater weather!
by Janel September 6th, 2010 at 7:04 amIm ready for the fall!! Bring on the cold!! π
by Jenna Rysanek September 6th, 2010 at 7:42 amWe have been having a really scorching summer so I’ll be more than happy for autumn to arrive! Except that it is still as hot as ever! I’m melting!
by Tamsyn September 6th, 2010 at 7:49 amI love change! My hair color is never the same. But I especially love this season change, from summer to fall. The crisp air and rustling leaves all remind me of the first time I fell head over heals in love. π
by Miranda September 6th, 2010 at 8:06 amI’m looking forward to the end of summer, because I love the winter and cold π
by Ina S. September 6th, 2010 at 8:08 amAlthough I may wax poetic about bright sunshine and cute sandals, I am looking forward to cooler temps and gorgeous foliage. It’s been a particularly hot and humid summer here on the east coast so the refreshing relief of fall is oh so welcome! π
by kylie September 6th, 2010 at 8:19 amI am happy for the change of season because fall will slow down the rain and it means the end of hurricane season even if there have not been any big ones this year.
by Stephanie M September 6th, 2010 at 8:22 amI am so ready for cooler temps, enjoy fall and its colors
by Jean P September 6th, 2010 at 8:28 amThis is my favorite time of the year all the warm weather is over and football season starts!
by Teresa W. September 6th, 2010 at 8:41 amI would love to see the change of seasons but unfortunately where I am at we don’t get a change of seasons. We have very hot and hot. I love to see the leaves changing. sigh…..
by Larena Wirum September 6th, 2010 at 8:55 amI love summer so much but I’m ready for fall (and then winter) simply because my birthday is in the winter π
by Lucy Sparks September 6th, 2010 at 9:00 amI am SO ready for fall! I love the season. It’s my absolute favorite. I am not a heat person at all. I’d rather be colder than sweat in the heat and humidity any day of the week. I love the colors during fall. The air. The holidays. The fact that I get to wear sweaters. Did I mention I love Fall? π
by Rae M. September 6th, 2010 at 9:14 amYes!!!! I live in Southern MS and it is way too hot. I love Fall.
by Marlene Breakfield September 6th, 2010 at 9:37 amI welcome fall. I live in the south and the heat was awful this summer.
by Tara W September 6th, 2010 at 9:37 amI love summer so I am sad to see it end.
by CrystalGB September 6th, 2010 at 9:40 amWell I’m looking forward to getting out of triple degree weather for sure but am also sad that the heat is changing to cold weather. I enjoy aspects of both soo… the answer has to be yes and no. lol
by Lexee September 6th, 2010 at 10:02 amI’m looking forward to the change of season especially the winter season. There are so many dark vibrant colors to wear during this time of the year. I love the color red and burgundy in the winter. I love the winter season. It brings out the snow sledding, ice skating, skiing, and snowball fights that I enjoy so much with my nieces and nephews. And the best of all is the Holiday seasons where my family, relatives, and close friends celebrate the holidays together.
by Kai W. September 6th, 2010 at 10:17 amLiving in upstate NY, I love the fall. Everyone always assumes that the entire state is packed like New York City, but here outside Albany you can go 10 miles and you’re in farm land. There are probably 4 or 5 apple orchards to go apple picking in, not to mention the cider doughnuts, and great local produce and fresh maple syrup; yum!
by Addie R. Abrams September 6th, 2010 at 10:18 amI’m sorry it is ending because I don’t like fall or winter..is too cold for me.
by Marjana kaly September 6th, 2010 at 10:33 amEven though this has been the best summer of my life, I can’t wait for fall because of all the new, wonderful things that will happen nex.
by Casey September 6th, 2010 at 10:33 amI’m ready for fall and the end of summer sales, apple picking and pumpkin pie.
by Jane September 6th, 2010 at 11:22 amIm sooo ready for autum so ready fo rthe colors to change the weather to get cooler the days to get shorter and the nights toget longer. I honestly think autum is my fav season because of all that changes and comes alive at the same time
by Beverly G September 6th, 2010 at 11:29 amAhhh Autumn, my fav season! Love the weather, the colors, Halloween… glad to see the hot Summer on its way out!
by Colleen September 6th, 2010 at 11:43 amI think I’m feeling ready for the change this year–the kids are back in school, and I’ll enjoy the change of weather to go with the different schedule π
by Fedora September 6th, 2010 at 12:10 pmI’m not looking forward to summer ending because I love the sunny days. It also means I’ll be forced to go back to school.
by jeanette8042 September 6th, 2010 at 12:13 pmI can’t wait for the season to change. Granted we don’t really have a fall here in Orlando, but anything to get away from this stiffling heat. Bring on the cooler temps!
by Danielle Gorman September 6th, 2010 at 12:35 pmOh gosh, as sad as I am to see the summer go (for us in the south though, unless a cool front passes through our summers last kinda long)… but I love fall. It marks that my birthday and my daughter’s birthday (in October) is on its way!!!
by Cecile September 6th, 2010 at 1:00 pmThanks for this great giveaway!
Please count me in!
I am looking forward to the change. I live in Florida, so seasons don’t really change much here, but our “winter” is at least slightly refreshing.
by Erika September 6th, 2010 at 1:04 pmWe don’t really get a change of season down here in Florida. It’s basically summer for 10 months, “fall” for almost two months, and then we get a week or two of “winter” (meaning under 70 degrees) that happens in late January, early February. I am always so impatient for “winter” by the time November rolls around.
by Sara M September 6th, 2010 at 1:45 pmI’m leaning towards being sorry to see summer pass by. Being autumn? Means being one step closer to winter – and I loathe the season that calls for a hundred clothes each and every day.
by INCiDeNT (Kayleigh) September 6th, 2010 at 1:53 pmI am definitely looking forward to Fall. It is my favorite season
by Raelena September 6th, 2010 at 2:25 pmI am looking forward to cooler temps and the pretty fall colors. π
by sue brandes September 6th, 2010 at 2:25 pmI enjoy fall and love the leaves turning, a warm cup of cocoa and snuggling up in the window with a good book and a cat or two. π
by Zina September 6th, 2010 at 2:37 pmWe’ve started autumn here in Canada and it’s beautiful. We had one of the best summers we have seen in thirty years with a lot of sun and heat but also humidity. So autumn is looking fresh to me.
by Diane Sadler September 6th, 2010 at 2:57 pmI love the change of seasons, especially fall, and always look forward to getting my down comforter and favorite sweats out of storage. It is the perfect season to curl up cozy with a great book.
by Cathy M September 6th, 2010 at 3:39 pmI’m looking forward to fall. I’m tired of 90+ degree weather. Plus it’s time for football.
by Robin September 6th, 2010 at 4:23 pmI love the change of season- the cooler air at night makes sleeping so much nicer!!
Thanks for the giveaway!
by Joanne Schultz September 6th, 2010 at 4:55 pmI love the fall, all the leaves changing colors and it starts to get cooler… It is a beautiful time of year!!!

Looking forward to change of season! New season is bringing in some fun things for me!
by Amanda September 6th, 2010 at 7:25 pmI’ m in the northeast and although I don’t mind the fall, it reminds me that winter is on it’s way. I much prefer spring and looking forward.
by catslady September 6th, 2010 at 7:46 pmI’m looking forward to autumn. It’s my favorite season. I love the changing leaves and the smell in the air during this time of year.
by Samantha September 6th, 2010 at 7:54 pmI’m so ready for summer to be over. I love fall. The weather, the colors, sitting in my backyard on a cool night. However, I’m not looking forward to winter.
by Lisa F. September 6th, 2010 at 8:10 pmLittle of both. I like each season for something.
by KNC September 6th, 2010 at 8:35 pmI’m gonna miss summer, but fall is cool too.

by Katya September 6th, 2010 at 8:42 pmSummer free-time will be hard to give up, but fall is the best.
by Kate C September 6th, 2010 at 8:43 pmI love fall and can’t wait for it – the weather suits me better…
by Chris S. September 6th, 2010 at 11:04 pmI can’t wait for the change of the season. I live in an area where the seasons are always just a bit off it seems but I love the contrast nonetheless… yay fall! it’s a great time for dressing extra warm and layering it π
by Biki September 6th, 2010 at 11:27 pmExcept fpr all the rain that will be starting I like the fall with longer nights and cooler temps.
by Lindsey Ekland September 7th, 2010 at 2:58 amI can’t wait for Fall to actually start here! I live in Arkansas and it’s freaking HOT!!! It’s been better the last week or so but we had one of our hottest summers ever this year and it was no fun!!!I can’t wait for the real cool down to begin! π
