Book of the Day: What Happens in Vegas…After Dark

The winner of yesterday book, WITCH BLOOD, is Brooke., who said, “Perfect mate? hmmm do they even exsist? Please don’t tell my hubby that… lol
Honestly, it would be someone that truly challenged me. Not challenged like that but made me a better person by keeping me on my toes and not getting into a routine day in and out….”

Today’s book……

Las Vegas… it’s the town that lives up to the promise of its nickname, Sin City. A gamblers’ paradise for innocent tourists, it conceals a darker, sexual world where the ethereal and wraithlike meet to play a different game….

If there’s one thing succubus Deitre understands it’s revenge. That, and enticing men into arousing, exciting and, okay, perilous sex (for him). Beautiful on the outside, demon on the inside, she’s going to get back at the naughty firefighter in Darkness…unless he plays his cards right.

Bounty hunter Nell is a hell of a tracker. Now she’s in Vegas on the tail of the witch who dared to steal from her clan. She’s going to get the unsavory harlot through the woman’s ex-finance, and nothing about their charged encounters will be shallow, quick or friendly.

When the half-blood fae male comes to Club Darkness, Elena can’t resist acting on the mind-blowing heat coursing between them. She might be betrothed to another, but fae culture says sex with other men until marriage is most definitely foretold.

Tattoo artist Devi is the latent vampire the warlocks need to heal all wounds. But taking her power is a sexually exhausting and dangerous task requiring dark deception…and gambling on her life.

My story in this anthology is called THE PROMISE. It’s a prequel to THE DEAL, (WHAT HAPPENS IN VEGAS… the first anthology, released in 2008), and tells Damian’s story and how/why he came to jilt Cassidy at the altar on their wedding day.

  1. Hi

The best vacation was a family trip to Cancun, we had a blast and our son really enjoyed it.

    Thanks

  2. The best vacation I took. That’s a tie between going down to South Carolina for a couple days or my last weekend which was Rock on the Range, listening to metal music, no kids to worry about.

  3. I got to go to a friend’s wedding with my husband and my three boys- we had a great time and the next day we took the kkids to see the ZOO it was awesome.

  4. Hands down Niagara Falls Ontario, CA!! Nothing beats family, warm weather, and beautiful sites!! The falls are absolutely amazing both during the day on the Maid of the Mist, from above, or Behind the Falls, and also at night with fireworks and colors illuminating the falls!! Just breathtaking!! Clifton Hill offered tons of attractions, the wax museums being my favorite!! At night a little bit of fun at the casino or Dave & Busters topped it off!! Awesome place for anyone to visit!!

  5. Best vacation I ever took was when my entire family (aunts, uncles, grandparents, cousins, etc.) all met at a beach house in North Carolina and we spent the week together. We rarely get to see each other (since no one lives in the same state, let alone on the same side of the country) so it was amazing being able to spend so much time together.

  6. We had a blast in Hawaii. We spent a few day on the Big Island and attended a luau.

  7. The best vacation I’ve ever taken was to the North Shore of Oahu, Hawaii. Gorgeous scenery, fabulous food and wonderful people. The most beautiful sunsets I’ve ever seen.

  8. I haven’t taken many vacations. So the best one I guess was 2 summers ago, we went out east to New Brunswick and Nova Scotia. Saw the tall ships come in.It was pretty cool.

  9. My Best Vacation was when me and the kids went to the beach. There is nothing like laying on the sand and watching your kids have so much fun in the water and looking at all the nice looking man around you.

  10. Best Vacation Ever… when I was younger my parents, my sisters, & my grandparents went on a Disney cruise / Disney World vacation together. So much happened that will always bring me wonderful memories to enjoy! 😀

  11. I go to Arkansas on vacation twice a year, for Christmas and my grandson’s birthday in June (yeah..it’s almost that time!), and I think it’s the best way to spend my vacation. But the best year was in ‘)* when my daughter got married. Not only did I get to be there for that, but then they left for their honeymoon, and my grandson and I had a week and a half to just hang out together and do whatever we wanted to. Which for us meant sleeping in, then spending most of the day watching movies and reading and talking about everything under the sun. He loves to read as much as I do m:)

  12. the best vacation i took was with my grandfather up in northern wisconsin to a bunch of the state parks in the fall…how beautiful they were with all the colored leaves…best time ever…kimy

  16. We went to Disney World, Universal Studios, and the Space center. It was great.

  17. Family trip to parts of Japan–it’s a gorgeous country, and it was fun to introduce the kids to new tastes and sights!

  18. I’ve only taken one or two vacations in my life. Since one was related to medical treatments I’ll definitely say that the other to Disney World was my favorite. They treat you like royalty there and I recommend everyone go at least once for the sights and the pampering.

  19. Best vacation was a 16 day trip to China.

  20. I would have to say when we went to Belize on our honeymoon, I love tropical places and we did make it out of our room to go sight seeing…lol

  21. I don’t go on many major vacations, so my best one was from the summer before I turned 16, I flew out to Texas to stay with my grandparents and they took me on a surprise trip to Six Flaggs, Sea World, and some other places in San Antonio, and then drove down to South Padre Island. I need to go back to those places again, this time with my husband and son.

  22. The best vacation will be our very first family trip to Disney World in August. My kids are 17,13,9 & 7. This is the first year we could afford to do a big trip and we all can’t wait!!!

  28. My mom bought me a trip to Spain for my high school graduation. My best friend and I had so much fun.

  29. My best vacation would have had to have been my honeymoon. Nothing flash and it was only for 2 days and it rained most of the time but it was one of the best times away from home of my life. Relaxing with my husband, going out for dinner and enjoying the silence of a holiday without anyone else. It was perfect.

  30. My best vacation was my little family’s first camping trip with our son. We went to the same place I always did growing up every labor day. Stayed at the same site I always did as a kid. Our son was only a little over a year old but being out there with him was the most amazing experience. Seeing him swimming in the same pond, hiking on the trails (even though he got a bit cranky). Plus Grandma was there too so she watched the baby while I got to take Daddy out for a beautiful moon lit walk 😉

  31. The best vacation I ever went on was the best for location but I was lonley because my hubby wasn’t there. I went with a friend of mine on a cruise from FL to CA thru the panama canal. It was amazing all of the beautiful places we went to. From Aruba and Costa Rica to 3 stops in Mexico. And then to top it all off the canal was amazing to think of how it was built before we have all the heavy equipment we have now. I met alot of great people on the trip. It took 18 days so we got close and still have contact once in a while. I thought it would be nice getting a break from being just a MOM but I missed my husband and kids soo much.

  32. Best vacation, that is tough. Any vacation away from work is great. I think at this point the best would be our family vacation to Alaska. We went with several family members. It was nice and Alaska was beautiful.

  33. Best vacation is a toss up between Switzerland and Yellowstone. They were both two week trips. Both involved lots of hiking and traveling from place to place. Both were exhausting and awesome!

  34. Best vacation ever would probably be when I was about 10 we went to florida and drove all the way there and back… It seemed like forever on the way up there. We stayed at a ranch and we road swamp buggys, it was so much fun and it is just so beautiful there we literally started lookin for a house to buy&just start all over…
The other vacation I wuld say that could b the best is when we use to go to texas every year, I love it there its just amazing

  35. My best vacation was when I went to France. It was such a beatiful city and I love my stay there.

  36. Best vacation was to Hawaii – the air, the ocean water, the sunsets, the rainbows are just so different there. And the Big Island volcano, old & new Lava flows, is like nowhere else. Really shows the power & the beauty of Mother Nature.

  49. It was to the coast with just my children. They were 7 & 10 at the time. We took a time-out from our lives and just basically breathed and re-connected. The weather & beach were perfect & our time together memorable.

  50. Oh, the first time I ever visited the States, about six years ago to meet some super nice ladies who I had gotten to know over yahoo groups.

I stayed for three weeks in Dayton, Ohio and had a fabulous time. I stayed in the house of one of my new friends and another one came too and I’ll never forget it. I have pictures and souvenirs to always remind me!!
