The winner of yesterday book, HOT FOR THE HOLIDAY, is Mandy B., who said, “First off I would pay off my debts and fix up the house some. If there was anything left I would take the family on a once in a lifetime vacation.”
Today’s book……
Pamela Darby needs a man—preferably a Highland brute with more brawn than brains. Determined to save her sister from selling her virtue, the resourceful beauty requires a strapping specimen to pose as a duke’s long-lost heir. Pamela plans to collect the generous reward, then send him on his way. Lucky for the brazen beauty, the seductive, silver-eyed highwayman who just held up their carriage could be her man . . .
Connor Kincaid has given up on his dream of restoring his clan’s honor. And now this plucky Englishwoman is asking him to take part in a risky charade that could land them both on the gallows. Never a man to resist a challenge or the allure of a beautiful woman, Connor strikes the devil’s bargain that could seal both their fates. The highwayman and the hellion journey to London as both enemies and allies—a woman who has everything to gain and a man who has nothing to lose…but his heart.

Do you like where you live? If so, why? If you could, would you move anywhere else?
I like where I live for now because my kids grew up here and will all graduate from the same school. I didn’t have that growing up becasue I moved like 10 times and never had the chance to make those lasting friendships that my kids have. After they all gradute I told my husband I want to move to the mountains. Out in the middle of nowhere. The only requirements are a library and internet access!! Got to have my books!!
by Tanya Maxemow May 30th, 2011 at 7:17 amI live in Scotland but I have always dreamed of living in America. Partly so that I could attend all the book conventions you guys have! On the other hand I love Scotland the people are like no one else! 🙂
by Carlyn McKechnie May 30th, 2011 at 7:29 amHi
I love where I live – I live in Boise and I enjoy the small town feel – yet the valley (which includes several towns) is large. I like the weather here, we enjoy 4 seasons – even though this year we may skip spring!! No plans to move.
Thanks!!
by Pam B May 30th, 2011 at 7:38 amI love where I live, although the weather can be crazy at times in TN. I love my neighbors we are there for each other and they all have been where I am now. A military spouse waiting for retirement to come.
by Heidi May 30th, 2011 at 7:41 amThis is a tough question! I like the fact that we do get all four seasons where I currently live but I hate the summers here because they are so hot and muggy! I think my ideal place to live in the US would be either the southern parts of Virginia or the northern parts of North Carolina…lol
by Junegirl63 May 30th, 2011 at 7:51 amI like where I live. Winters are pretty mild usually as far as snow is concerned. It’s not too far from some nice places. 3 hrs to NYC, 45 mins to Philadelphia, 3 1/2 hrs to Ocean City MD. I would love to live somewhere where the summers aren’t so hot and humid. But as of now I have now plans to move.
by JoAnna B May 30th, 2011 at 7:55 amI love where I live,my hole family lives here. I have 5 generations in this town. It beautiful here. It’s called Paradise CA and alot of the time it feels and looks like paradise.
by Wendy Tranah May 30th, 2011 at 8:03 amI love where I live because my love is here. Having traveled I have determined that where he is I’m home.
by Donna A May 30th, 2011 at 8:18 amI love where I live now and where I lived before moving here. Where I live currently is very beautiful. The town is in a valley and it has the small town environment which I love. Everyone is friendly and everyone will help each other when needed.
by Becky W May 30th, 2011 at 8:23 amI really do like where I live. Most of my family lives in the area. We are centrally located close to shopping, great restaurants, entertainment, the shore and the mountains. We have the best of everything very close at hand.
by ChrisS May 30th, 2011 at 8:31 amI like where I live. It’s a very nice area of PA, right on the Delaware River. Close enough to big cities to do things, but still small town/country enough to be queit and peaceful. If there was a place with NO natural disasters and the weather could be exactly how I like it all the time, I’d choose to likve there, but since there’s no such thing, I’ll stay where I am 🙂
by Betty Lewis May 30th, 2011 at 8:36 amI dislike where we currently live and finally after 5 years we will be able to move. Being at the whim of the government doesn’t allow us to move when we want or where we want (until we are out). As for where I would want to move hmmmmm not sure but most likely it would be closer to family since we rarely get to see them.
by brooke May 30th, 2011 at 9:11 amBorn & bred in Chicago, I love my hometown! No, I’m not going to sing. 😛 Chicago has wonderful museums, culture, AWESOME pizza, friendly people and the best of Lake Michigan. I love it all, the cold & snow of winter and the spring to summer in 24 hours. My DH & I talked of going to Arizona someday, maybe Tucson 😎 who knows? We both love the Midwest and Chicago. I have a feeling I’ll be shoveling snow forever, and that’s OK. 😀
by Gail S May 30th, 2011 at 9:30 amI live in Daly City which is next to San Francisco in CA and I love it. My neighborhood is quiet and the weather is always sunny and beautiful, and I can easily go to the bustling SF without living in the chaos.
by Jeanette Juan May 30th, 2011 at 9:38 amI do not mind where I live now; however it is still close to the in laws who made where we use to live sheer hell. They are still close enough to interfere. I wouldn’t mind moving to SC or something where there’d be NO snow
by Raonaid Luckwell May 30th, 2011 at 9:55 amI LOVE where we live now in Tacoma. It has a small town feel, but you are still close to everything you would need like in a big city. I was born, raised, and lived for 30 years in the OC in California and have no desire to move back. People are way nicer up here and a much better place to raise a family.
by Joylyn May 30th, 2011 at 10:04 amI like where I live because it’s so peaceful. I moved here a year ago and it definitely seems like home!
by Miranda May 30th, 2011 at 10:17 amI do love where I live. I grew up here and my family is here and I enjoy having four seasons. If I had to live somewhere else, I would choose San Francisco. I think it’s such a beautiful and diverse city.
by Jane May 30th, 2011 at 10:38 amMore or less I like where I live. The people are nice here in the Midwest and I like having actual seasons, even though I hate snow. That’s not to say that I wouldn’t love to go elsewhere for awhile, like Scotland. Such a magically romantic place.
by Joder May 30th, 2011 at 10:56 amI love Florida except during hurricane season. It is usually sunny and I love the beaches.
by Stephanie M May 30th, 2011 at 11:06 ami would love to move to new york, because that’s wheres all the celebrities and major news happens, and where most authors go for tours
by minhchieu tran May 30th, 2011 at 11:42 amI do like where I live. If I could move anywhere it would be to a tropical climate to avoid cold weather.
by CrystalGB May 30th, 2011 at 11:46 amWhere I live, has its good points and its bad… do not care for the Summer, but love the weather from October to March!
by Colleen May 30th, 2011 at 12:55 pmHi,
First of all, don’t enter me for this one as I have it and it is REALLY GOOD!!!!
Anyways, I do like where I live. I live in a small town, not far from a big one. We have lakes, everything is close by, castles and palaces…it’s very pretty.
I wouldn’t mind moving a little further out into the country-side. I’ve always dreamed of a cottage in England.

by Valerie May 30th, 2011 at 12:56 pmin Germany
no i am actually planning on moving back to the mountains i grew up in. i grew up in Wyoming and Montana so i am planning on moving to Montana in the spring of next year.
by tammy ramey May 30th, 2011 at 1:01 pmI really like where I live – Bozeman, Montana. I’m from Los Angeles originally and it’s wonderful to live in a small town and have seasons (I really like snow).
I’ve always wanted to live in Scotland for a year, and maybe someday I’ll be able to make it happen.
by Devon May 30th, 2011 at 1:04 pmi live in the columbia gorge very windy but so beautiful but second place i would live clarksville tn. my babies lve there
by Brenda Hook May 30th, 2011 at 1:14 pmI like living in southern MS, the only downside is the heat and hurricanes. I’ve always wanted to live in Scotland, but I guess the grass is always greener.
by Marlene Breakfield May 30th, 2011 at 1:48 pmI really like where I live as I got great neighbors all around me. I have limited things I can do because of my health ..so it’s nice to have people keeping a eye on you..small rural towns rock./..Kimy
by kimberly hoefs May 30th, 2011 at 1:59 pmI do like where I live. I’d LOVE where I live if it wasn’t for all the humidity!
I’d love to live in another country like Scotland or Ireland. Or at least somewhere cooler than where I am right now!
by Rae M. May 30th, 2011 at 3:25 pmI love living in Los Angeles. Where else could you have the beaches, mountains, and desert so close to L.A. city life and great weather for the majority of the year? There is so much cultures in Los Angeles that two weeks will not do especially if you want to try all the different cultural foods. Gotta love L.A.
by Kai W. May 30th, 2011 at 3:39 pmOh, I adore where I live. South, same road I grew up on…. It’s great. But if I could move somewhere, anywhere, else? I would be in Scotland in a heart beat
by Chelsea B. May 30th, 2011 at 4:08 pmWell, currently I’m enrolled in a medical internship so I’m living in a Chicago suburb. I don’t like living here because it’s too far from home. I would love to live in a town like Winona, MN where I went to college. It was just the right size of a town and still had a lot of entertainment options while being close to bigger cities.
by Ashley L May 30th, 2011 at 4:45 pmi love living in NC! It has always been my home and not many places have the beach at one end and the mountains at the other!
by Christy M May 30th, 2011 at 5:03 pmI think, if it weren’t for the spiders the size of dinner plates, i might live in Australia!
I’m in Southern California and I want to be able to stay. Better weather and traffic than Loose Angles, plenty of culture and attractions (including the eyecandy kind). I don’t have blizzards, but winter ski resorts are mere hours away. World class beaches -with and without surf: we got ’em. Deserts: dunes or scrub, and they have beautiful wildflowers in the spring. Got Mountains, also got vineyards, and endless possibilities.
by Virginia E May 30th, 2011 at 5:06 pmI really like it were I live. I love the weather, our house and big backyard. If I could I’d love to live in Australia and Iceland for a while.
by Mariee May 30th, 2011 at 5:50 pmI sort of like where I live; I live in a small touristy type of place in Ohio, but I’ve been here for a long while so if I ever get enough money I’d like to get myself and my family out of here.
I think I’d like to either live close to my dad in Kentucky or maybe live somewhere in Indiana or maybe even somewhere in Ireland!
by Gabrielle J. May 30th, 2011 at 6:40 pmI actually don”t like where I live (Jacksonville) because its very boring here. I would like to move back to Austin since I used to live there and it was such fun and exciting city!
by Marjana May 30th, 2011 at 6:43 pmI love where I live, it’s beautiful – trees, lakes, mountains…I’m very happy up here in the corner of the country LOL If I could live anywhere it would be either Maui, to be near my family – of the UK because its my favorite place in the world, so much history and beauty – plus I’d be living near my Very Good friend 😀
by Bonnie H May 30th, 2011 at 6:55 pmI’ve always liked where I live. But, my brother recently moved to NC and my sister moved to FL so I think I would like to move somewhere in between. They just seem so far away.
by Jen B. May 30th, 2011 at 7:44 pmI do like the town that i live in. i like the house that i live in, if i could move i think i probably would… Only thing i hate about moving is leaving behind my pets that passed away that are here and of course memories
by Asheleigh Deramo May 30th, 2011 at 9:08 pmI wouldnt move to a bigger town.
I like living in small towns, so i would probably go back to a smaller town that i use to live in when i was younger.
No & Yes!! I start with no because it is a VERY small town and with small towns come gossiping and such. HATE IT!! I live too far from a real town (approx. 35 miles) so just going to the grocery story is a chore.
Yes, I love some of the people. I will miss them when I eventually move and I will very likely move.
Where too??? I would love to live in Ireland or Scotland. Been to Ireland and loved the people. Scotland, because…hello…highlanders. Otherwise I think I would like to move back to Alaska. I loved it there and I’m always sorry I moved.
by Toni May 30th, 2011 at 9:13 pmI live in a rural community on the lake. I like the scenery but dislike the distance to the stores. If I could live some place else, it would be on the beach.
by Ginger May 30th, 2011 at 9:55 pmI like where I live because this is where my immediate family lives. Right now, this is where I want to be; if anything changes in the future, I hope wherever I move to will still be close to family and that the move is for something great.
by Preye May 30th, 2011 at 10:12 pmI have lived in 31 states and multiple countries. Skagit Co where I am located now is near family and have evening light like no where else. If I could live anywhere in the world I would pick the South of France
by Marni S May 30th, 2011 at 10:33 pmI’ve adapted to where I live! Don’t love it, don’t hate it. I live in Texas, and it is just a tad too hot and humid. If I could move, it would be to a place that experiences the 4 seasons – without extreme conditions. Talk about being a pollyanna!!!
by Karen C May 30th, 2011 at 11:17 pmI live in Australia, and I imagine that I will always live in Australia – however, I’m in the tropics.
by kate May 31st, 2011 at 12:42 amI’m fairly sure that that will change in a few years – I would like to live somewhere with seasons not just summer and not quite as hot as summer!
Like Kate I too live in Australia. The difference is I live in SE QLD and so I do experience the seasons. Right now we are on the cusp of winter and the tropics are looking mighty welcoming. It is beautiful here. It’s a large country town with air so clean it squeaks.
by Mary Preston May 31st, 2011 at 12:48 amI live in an apartment. When we first moved in, the complex had just opened, so everything was brand new! That was wonderful, but now 3 years later our boys getting older, we need a bigger place! I wouldn’t mind where it was, as long as it was close enough to our family
by Emily Tardy May 31st, 2011 at 1:08 amI live in Oklahoma…love the stormy season just not a fan of the rest of the year…would love to move to Montana , Wyoming or maybe even Alaska…and only vacation in the tropical weather….just love the cold better
