Love Changeling Dream by Dani Harper. A wounded hero who has to come in from the wilderness, and a young woman he once rescued but does not know his secrets. She has to travel to him and then discover her own secrets. So there is mystery, loving, and a full shifter society. Also the writing is wonderfully descriptive without getting in the way of the flow of the story. Read this story when it was with a different publisher and the story of the heart broken wolf stayed with me.

You have all these totally sexy vampires, who have completely different personalities. The stories that formed each of them bring tears to your eyes. The women that end up loving them are amazing. Great writing! Very entertaining! (I also LOVE the Dark Magic Novels!!!)

I have a bunch of books on my keeper shelves… one of my favs is Catherine Coulter’s The Sherbrooke Bride… it was one of the first Historicals I read that got me hooked on reading romance… loved the characters and the way the author brought them to life… have not been without a book at hand since!

Night Play by Sherrilyn Kenyon
I have read this book at least 10 times. I love how it has a ‘larger’ heroine. I like that the heroine isn’t a size 6, AND that the hero loves that about her. He stands up for her on everything and that is just awesome.
The book is also well written.

The Dresden Files by Jim Butcher and the DragonKeeper Chronicles by Donita K. Paul. Both series are just amazing, though DragonKeeper is aimed somewhat at younger readers. Still, among all my “keepers”, and there are a lot, these hold some of the top spots.

One book in particular that I seem to come up with almost everytime I have to answer a question like this is Night Play by Sherrilyn Kenyon, I think it was one of the first books in her were-hunter series that I read.
I just really fell in love with both of the main characters, and it was also more then the story line that kept me interested. It was the fact that the characters really needed each other and really went through heck and high water to be together!

I like variations of it and will often buy ones just to read more about the characters in it. I love the relationship Elizabeth has with her family members. I love the unrealistic “coincidental” meetings she and Darcy have. I love how they both change and become better after knowing each other. Everything about the book makes me happy.
