Today’s book……
Anya Bast’s story in this anthology is called THE PROMISE. It’s a prequel to THE DEAL, (WHAT HAPPENS IN VEGAS… the first anthology, released in 2008), and tells Damian’s story and how/why he came to jilt Cassidy at the altar on their wedding day.
Las Vegas… it’s the town that lives up to the promise of its nickname, Sin City. A gamblers’ paradise for innocent tourists, it conceals a darker, sexual world where the ethereal and wraithlike meet to play a different game….
If there’s one thing succubus Deitre understands it’s revenge. That, and enticing men into arousing, exciting and, okay, perilous sex (for him). Beautiful on the outside, demon on the inside, she’s going to get back at the naughty firefighter in Darkness…unless he plays his cards right.
Bounty hunter Nell is a hell of a tracker. Now she’s in Vegas on the tail of the witch who dared to steal from her clan. She’s going to get the unsavory harlot through the woman’s ex-finance, and nothing about their charged encounters will be shallow, quick or friendly.
When the half-blood fae male comes to Club Darkness, Elena can’t resist acting on the mind-blowing heat coursing between them. She might be betrothed to another, but fae culture says sex with other men until marriage is most definitely foretold.
Tattoo artist Devi is the latent vampire the warlocks need to heal all wounds. But taking her power is a sexually exhausting and dangerous task requiring dark deception…and gambling on her life.
Read the first chapter of The Promise.

Vegas is an exciting town and a great place to take a vacation. Where’s the best place you ever took a vacation?
My best vacation was during my teenage years. I went to Myrtle Beach with my uncle and his family and I was able to take one friend with me. We had a blast and was able to explore the beach by ourselves( we were 16) and I discovered A LOT about myself! 😉 Beach, Bikinis, Boys oh my!!!
by Melissa Lamb January 27th, 2012 at 5:59 amMy best vacation is/ was always New Orleans!!! I Love that town! The history, the music, the ghosts. You or old you can have a blast in that town!

by SharonS January 27th, 2012 at 7:02 amMy favorite vacation was when I was in high school. My grandmother was still alive then & we went to Mount Rushmore. We went to a store called Wall Drug. That place is a destination in it self. My whole family went on this vac. including aunts & cousin so it was a blast. I have alot of great memories with my grandmother also. Thanks for reminding me of that great time. Have a great weekend. —Rachel

FL I moved here and love it! My dream OS to go to the Aeolian Islands and Sicily, maybe I might make a final move there.

by Mandy Beyers January 27th, 2012 at 9:28 amWhen I was a very young teen, our family went to Florida (Cocoa Beach, yum) to visit my great-aunt and -uncle. Amazing trip! We went to the beach and swam in the ocean, even visited on a stormy day to watch the surfers, shopped, went to flea markets and just visited. My best vacation ever. 😀
by Ley January 27th, 2012 at 9:59 amWe were stationed in Germany for six years! One hell of a good time exploring new places!
by Jon-Anne F. January 27th, 2012 at 10:02 amVegas is a great place and I would go again given the chance, but the best vacation I took has to be when I accompanied my daughter & 50 teens to Europe. 17 days and 20 some cities. We all had a blast! 😆 The adults had as much fun as the teens. Some of the shenanigans the kids pulled were funny and aggravating, but all in all it was a great time. Now I want to go back and savor some of the cities we visited.

by MaDonna Lemmen January 27th, 2012 at 11:06 amThe North Shore of Oahu was the most relaxing vacation spot I’ve ever visited. Everything there is designed to help you relax. The food was glorious. The sunsets were stunning. I think I could easily become a beach bum.
by StacieD January 27th, 2012 at 11:07 amHoneymooning in St. Croix, U.S. Virgin Islands. It was perfect! The water was so clear with beautiful fish swimming beside you. Oh the memories…
by Cheryl S. January 27th, 2012 at 12:06 pmIt’s hard to pick one favorite vacation because every trip abroad has been a wonderful time. I really enjoyed my trips to South Africa, France, Italy, Spain, Netherlands, Holland, Belgium, and of course, the UK (which is always on the itinerary because we have family in London and I spent part of my childhood there). Each trip, I try to go to a different area of each country, e.g. after Durban, South Africa one year, then we went to Cape Town and Johannesburg, South Africa a different year. And when I enjoyed some trips so much, I actually went to back to study there (University of Cape Town, S.A. and University of Notre Dame Law School in London). Right now, I really want to go to Australia or Greece for my next abroad trip. But within the US, I guess one of my favorite vacations was my Aspen ski trip because I got to enjoy it with my mother and make wonderful memories that we still laugh about.
by Preye January 27th, 2012 at 12:12 pmMy favorite vacation was to Florida. We traveled all over to Sea World, Disney World, Sunken Gardens, Busch Gardens, Cypress Gardens, Lion Safari, Ft. Lauderdale, Miami, Daytona Beach, and Jacksonville. Loved the beaches and collecting seashells. We took in so many fantastic sights….it was such an adventure and so enjoyable!
by Lin Lou January 27th, 2012 at 2:27 pmI haven’t taken many trips, but I did go to Florida once. And being able to see the ocean for the first time was pretty awesome.
by Rae M. January 27th, 2012 at 2:28 pmThat’s a hard question because of the trips that I’ve taken they weren’t necessarily for a vacation but I would have to say New York City, Canada (Whistler specifically), and England.
Was invited to the opening of an off-Broadway musical so spent nearly a week in New York. Was invited to last years Mozilla Summit so spent a few days in Whistler which was beautiful. And then a friend flew me to London a few times, once was for 3 weeks but I didn’t get to see a lot while there. Still, those were some of the places that I’ve always wanted to go so I enjoyed what I could of them. 🙂
by Pam January 27th, 2012 at 2:33 pmFlorida, its so beautiful!
by Asheleigh Wheeler January 27th, 2012 at 3:40 pmMy best vacation was a 7 day cruise through the Caribbean islands. I had never been on a cruise, and I loved it. I loved dressing up for formal dinners, then the night we had pirates ‘kidnap’ us for photos. The sunsets were amazing and the trips to the islands were incredible.
by Angela Perry January 27th, 2012 at 3:45 pmIn college, I went on a trip to Italy for two weeks–AMAZING! Rome, Florence, San Gimignano in Tuscany, and Venice. I really hope to go back someday… 😀

by Debra G January 27th, 2012 at 7:49 pmThe best place I ever took a vacation was to Forks, WA, but since I can’t take a vacation as often as I like I’ve found that the cheapest vacation is with a really good book:)
by Yadira A. January 27th, 2012 at 7:57 pmSwitzerland. We had to save for 5 years to go on our honeymoon but it was so worth it. When we took the train to the top of the Jungfrau mountain, wow!

by bn100 January 27th, 2012 at 9:30 pmIt was a Carnival 7 day cruise. Stopping at St. Thomas, Guadaloupe, Brazil, Aruba. We had lots and lots of sunshine. Met a lot of nice people and had a fantastic time. Aruba was probably the best since we did our own tour of the island.
by Julianne January 27th, 2012 at 9:58 pmI loved going to Ireland for three weeks. Weather was decent and I got to see both the country and the cities of Dublin and Galway.
