Book of the Day: Wait for Me

The winner of Hot for the Holidays is Asheleigh W! Congrats! Please email me at anyabast(at)gmail.com with your selection.

Today’s book….

A woman without a past…

After a tragic accident left her with no memory, Kate Alexander struggled to fit in with a husband and world that didn’t feel right. She’s had no reason to question what friends and family have told her, not until her husband is suddenly killed and she finds a photo of a young girl in his office. A girl who can’t be anyone but a daughter Kate didn’t know she had.

A man desperate for a reason to live…

Ryan Harrison lost his wife in a plane crash five years ago. To cope with the pain of her loss, he dedicated himself to his job and to raising their daughter. Now a successful pharmaceutical executive, Ryan has everything a man could want—money, fame and power—but he’d give it all up in a heartbeat for just one more day with the woman he still loves.

Two lives about to converge.

As Kate begins to dig into a past she doesn’t remember, evidence leads her to San Francisco and puts her on the path toward Ryan, a man who sees in her the woman he loved and lost. Kate feels a draw to Ryan, one she can’t explain, but is that feeling enough to convince her this is where she’s supposed to be? As Ryan and Kate search for answers, they uncover lies long buried, a passion hotter than either expected and a danger that threatens…even now…when the second chance they’ve both been searching for is finally within reach.

  1. washing the dishes… i love cooking ( and often make a mess of the kitchen) but cleaning after …no ^^;;;

  2. Umm, washing and ironing my clothes. That’s why I always use laundry service, LOL!

  3. Not a big fan of putting on the beddings–after laundry–you know, the whole thing–one layer after the other lol

  4. well it is’nt really a chore, but I hate shoveling snow. I live in Buffalo NY so that is hard to avoid. I am glad my husband clears the driveway.—Rachel

  5. Mopping, for sure. I don’t mind most chores, but it’s just wet, and half the time it feels futile. Just ugh.

  6. Laundry….I feel like I spend half of my life washing, drying, ironing, folding…. 🙁

  7. do i have to pick one because i dont like to do any of them but if i have to pick one i hate cleaning the bathroom teenagers are messy

  8. I hate vacuuming with laundry being a close 2nd. My whole house is carpeted ugh. I also have 3 teenagers so there is always plenty of laundry to do. Your book sounds good.

  9. I hate cleaning the bathroom and folding laundry.

  10. cleaning the bathroom

  11. Cleaning the bathroom definitely.

  12. Don’t like vacuuming or washing floors. But with a big dog in the house seem to do a lot of that.

  13. The laundry..b/c it never stops. Its not like I can do it once and forget about it for two weeks. Its very. single. night.

  14. Vacuuming! HATE IT!!!

  15. I hate vacuuming, that stupid cord always makes me really frustrated!

  16. Dusting and cleaning out drains… the dust comes right back and the drains are beyond nasty when they get clogged!

  17. I hate washing dishes. I am 6′ tall and they do not make sinks for tall people 🙂

  18. I hate doing the dishes more so i hate washing the stove after someones made a mess of it ugh talk about a pain

  19. I hate Mopping!!!!! I would rather wash 4 loads of dishes than to mop any day!!!!

  20. And all chores don’t count… The bathrooms. I keep mine clean all the time, but the other one in the house smells like teens that have all their stuff thrown about.

  21. Laundry!!!

  22. I absolutely hate dusting the furniture – it just seems to be a never ending thing and most people don’t notice that you’ve dusted unless you go for a long period without doing it…lol
    Thanks for the giveaway!

  23. Cleaning the bathtub is the one I hate most because it’s the most difficult for me with my back problems (it takes the longest because I have to stop for breaks, before it’s ever done)! It’s a real chore, compared to any other job–I’d do two sinks of dishes any day of the week!!! 😥

  24. I absolutely DESPISE cleaning bathrooms! It is so dreadful to have to clean up after someone else’s (unless you live by yourself) excrements. I would rather vacuum or sweep any day!!!!! Mowing is better than that!

  25. I know it’s weird but I hate putting clothes away. I don’t mind washing and drying but I cannot stand to have to put it away. lol

  26. Cleaning bathrooms is something I would gladly pay someone else to do for me. Hate it.

  27. I hate repairing clothes: sewing buttons back on or repairing busted seams. Probably because I’m so bad at it

  28. I hate cleaning out the eaves, full of leaves, from the trees several times in the fall and in the spring. It’s a tedious job and a dirty one, having to move a ladder along every few feet to reach. A never-ending chore, with one resolution….don’t plant trees close to the house, because they grow huge and produce thousands of leaves and are messy!

  29. Taking out the trash

  30. ➡ Cleaning the kitty litter box.

  31. I hate scrubbing the tub and the toilet.

  32. I hate folding clothes. It sits clean in laundry baskets for weeks. It hurts my shoulders to do it and I always pay for it. I gave up washing windows…I just can’t.

  33. Cleaning little ones room. The next LEGO I step on I may have to throw something. That hurts….

  34. I hate cleaning the bathroom. I would rather wash dishes by hand.

  35. Man I hate so many! LOL I guess the worst is cleaning the litter box.

This sounds like a really good book. I cannot wait to read it

  36. I absolutely abhor DUSTING!!!! I takes me twice as long to do it because I hate it so much that I take continuous breaks lol!!!

  37. It’s reasonable to hate doing all those chores but I think the one thing I hate doing the most is dishes, especially if they’ve been let go for awhile.

The weird thing is though when I do dishes I get this weird sense of peace, and I find myself doing a lot of thinking when I’m up to my elbows in hot soapy water.

  38. Cleaning. And yes my house is a hot mess.

  39. I read through the ones before me and I have to agree, the kitty litter box does it for me. It just always sucks!

  40. I hate vacuum; I’ve never enjoyed it but as get older it only seems worse. I couldn’t even tell you why, just hate it.

  41. Probably vacuuming! You have to shift everything around when you do it and then you get tangled in the cord. It’s just an overall pain. Thanks for the contest!

  42. Cleaning the bathroom. Oh, how I hate it!

  43. I hate anything to do with house cleaning.

  44. I don’t like cleaning toilets, especially when boys have been using the bathroom. I swear, their aims are horrible sometimes.

  45. I hate cleaning the bathroom.

  46. I hate washing the dishes. Thank god for dishwashing machines!

  47. I absolutely hate making my bed, lol

  48. I hate cleaning bathrooms – with mopping floors a close second 🙂

  49. Hi Anya and Elizabeth, I read a lot of review of wait for me and I think it is absolutely very interesting books. The cover also looks very gorgeous, can’t wait to read it. The chores I hate so much would be cooking I just so do not like cooking and especially if I have to cook and left the books that I read behind. I think it’s totally annoying . Thank you for the giveaway :).

  50. I absolutely hate doing the dishes.

  51. I hate cleaning the bathroom.

  52. I’d have to say that I hate most household chores that involve scrubbing or cleaning although I don’t mind washing dishes as long as it is not scrubbing the pots.
