Book of the Day: Wicked Enchantment

The winner of yesterday’s book, Raven’s Quest, is Ashley L., who said, “I still prefer paperbacks over my Kindle. I just love the feel of an actual book in my hands. I love my Kindle for when I’m taking trips though because one Kindle takes up less space than a stack of books.” Congrats! Please drop me an email, Alice! Anyabast (at) gmail.com.

Today’s book……

When you’re a half incubus, your reputation precedes you…

All eyes are on Gabriel Mac Braire the day he makes his first appearance in the Seelie Court, including those of Aislinn Finvarra. Despite deep bitterness over her last failed relationship, Aislinn cannot help but be curious about the half incubus who is known to possess dark magick, both lethal and sexual in nature. Rumors abound of the women who have become enslaved to his irresistible charms.

So when the Summer Queen of the fae orders Aislinn herself to act as his guide in the court, she is understandably on guard. She’s fallen under the spell of far less persuasive men before. In addition, Gabriel might be more than he seems and his true mission is far from innocent.

This time, Aislinn must protect not only her heart, but her very life…

  32. hard bitten by chole neill, just loved that book and the whole chicagoland series!

  33. I read a lot of books, but if I am going to recommend one to all my friends it has to be good enough to buy and pick up to read again and again. I would have to go with The Black Jewels Trilogy by Anne Bishop. I usually don’t like fantasy, but these books took me to another world and I couldn’t put them down.

  34. I just finished reading Kiss of Snow by Nalini Singh and absolutely loved it. I’ve got my daughter in law hooked on this series and she has the pleasure of reading it next.

  35. The last book I recommended was to my sister, and it was Savage Nature by Christine Feehan. She’s picky so I keep trying to get her to expand her reading choices. I’ve read lots since then though that I want to rec but don’t think she’ll listen to.

  47. Angela’s Ashes by Frank McCourt, to prove that memoirs/biographies/autobiographies aren’t always self indulgent and boring. Lol

  48. The last book I read was Daughter of the Blood by Anne Bishop. It was actually a re-read for the millionth time. That’s how good it is to me, so of course I recommend it to everyone I know.

  49. Juliana Stones His Darkest Embrace.

  50. The book I seem to be recommending a lot lately is Something Borrowed and Something Blue by Emily Giffin. You have to read both but I like Blue better!

  51. I have to say, the last book I read that I actually enjoyed was “Green Eyed-Demon” by Jaye Wells. I absolutely adore Jaye Wells, and I’ve pretty much forced all of my book loving friends to read the series. The characters are so much fun, and so EASY to believe, their personalities funny as hell, and her writing is addicting. I’ve read the entire series at least three or four times to date, and am anticipating the next installment!

  52. Currently I would say River Marked by Patricia Briggs, though admittedly I will recommend just about any of the books I read. =^-^=

  53. That’s tough. I read a ton and I recommend a lot. The one I recommend to the widest range of people is Gail Carriger’s Parasol Protectorate. That is one funny series. And, it’s smartly written. For the more serious minded, I recommend Lori Armstrong’s Mercy series. I love strong, foul mouthed women!
