I use to own a used book store and I went to a local auction and bought several boxes of old books. They all had to do with witches and witch craft. After emptying one of the boxes, I realized that this box still felt very very very heavy, so I began inspecting the box. I found that it had a false bottom and when I took the protective covering from the bottom I found a book. But not just any book. This book was a book of spells. I mean a real book of spells and witch craft. As soon as I touched it I felt a cold chill go through my body. Even the binding of the book felt weird. Not paper or cardboard but made of something very smooth and silky to the touch. My husband teased me saying that it was skin. Anyway, I knew of a local coven and I couldn’t wait to get rid of this book. I called one of the contact names and they were there within an hour. I never got to even give them a quote. As soon as they saw it they offered me $300 for it. I took $100 which covered the cost of the auction itself. I couldn’t wait to get rid of that book.

One of my favorite is one we quote at all of my brother’s and sister’s weddings (have 6) “Mawaige, Mawaige is what bwings us togetha today…” from the Princess Bride. We do the entire monologue – makes for some fun laughter (and sure does date us!) It’s even bled into some in-law weddings…

I honestly don’t watch movies, execept for some recent historical ones when they come on DVD and if they are captioned. So I’m looking forward to watching the Masterpiece movies they did of Jane Austen books. I missed a couple of those to tape tho.
I do like older shows on TV, and each night I love watching Stanford and Son. I love when Redd Foxx would speak to his wife in heaven saying “You here that Elizabeth? I’m coming to join you honey!” when he fakes his heart attacks, usually when he’s in some sort of trouble! Love that show!
