Book of the Day: The Chosen Sin, by Anya Bast

The Chosen Sin, by Anya Bast.

This book comes out officially on October 7th, but it’s already available to ship at B&N online.

In this sensuous and lust-filled otherworld, the Chosen are vampires fighting for their very existence.

It is Daria’s destiny to become one of them…

Daria Morris is a special forces agent with one obsession: to wreak vengeance on the brutal vampire who nearly destroyed her. Now she’s finally about to get her chance, on one condition. She must become something she detests: a vampire.

Her fate rests upon one man’s lethal bite. His name is Alejandro Martinez, and he can help her infiltrate a highly guarded group of the Chosen. But Alejandro is also a distraction for Daria. Because thirteen years ago, they shared a scorching night of passion neither has forgotten.

Now, while Daria struggles against her newfound bloodlust, the two must slip into the shadows to bring a monster to justice—even as their desire threatens to consume them. But under the cover of night, they’ll discover that it’s the darkness within that may stand in the way of their hunger for retribution…

“Vivid details and imaginative settings make the Chosen world intriguing… High-voltage action keeps things moving while the in-depth characters have you rooting for their success.” — Romantic Times BOOKreviews

“Anya Bast pulled another winner out of her pocket. If you are looking for a paranormal story that is just out of this world pick up THE CHOSEN SIN. You will get more than just the generic vampire story.” — Night Owl Romance Reviews

  1. I’d travel around as much as I can, including lots of lazing at a beach with my books.

  2. I had the same idea too. I’d travel, but I’d spend months at each destination to get a real feel for the place and the people and I’d eat. I love watching those traveling food shows. I guess I’d need to take along a personal trainer too!

  3. I’m not paid-employed now, so…reading, reviewing, writing, watching TV, snarking and blogging, of course 😉

    Have a lovely day! 🙂

  4. If I did not have to work, I would spend my day reading. I have a lot of books I would like to catch up.

  5. Oh, ‘The Chosen Sin’ sounds terrific and if I had lots of time I would read and read and read some more. I love all my books and would enjoy as many of them as possible and in between reading I would travel so I could relax in wonderful settings while reading. What more could a gal ask for.

  6. Oh, that one’s easy. I’d read. Loved the description of The Chosen Sin.

  7. If I didn’t have to work – I would volunteer my time at a no-kill animal shelter and researching my family history.

    I so want this book.

  8. I would finally finish the story I have been writing on since I would have time. But honestly I like working even if its only part-time.

  9. Goon morning Anya,

If I didn’t have to work & I had the funds I would build a retirement/rescue home for dogs & horses. Indoor/Outdoor with heating & a/c for the dogs. Big areas to run. Large pastures for the horses. I would also home school my son so we could travel more.

    Thank you,
    Susan B.

  10. I’m retired and can tell you it’s GREAT!!!
Easy answer – read, volunteer, read, travel, read, shop, read, garden, read…

  11. I actually didn’t work for 8 years while my girls were younger, and I was bored out of my mind! Now I work part-time at a public library and love it, I would volunteer there if I wasn’t getting paid. If I had unlimited funds, I would love to travel to third world countries and help build schools and libraries for children there, my friend does that and she swears there’s nothing better for your peace of mind.

  12. Travel. Do work that I enjoy (still trying to figure out what….) probably volunteer that way I wouldn’t be taking a salary from someone who needs it more than I do.

  13. That really depends. If I had plenty of money, I would travel and do some of the things I have always wanted to do, but never had the money. If I didn’t have much money, then I would stay home and read.

  14. If I didn’t have to work because I had a ton of money, I’d probably continue working as a nurse, travel and buy the biggest bookshelf ever for all the books I’d be buying!

  15. And oh! buy the Haagan Dazs corporation, lol.

  16. I’d love to travel the world! 😀

And then when I got home, I’d volunteer more, starting with being a literacy tutor–something I’m planning on doing in another year or two, anyway. Right now my responsibilities at home are too demanding.

  17. Reading and traveling. The books that I would finally have the time to read…*sigh*

  18. Your book sounds fantastic!

I’m finally retired, so I: read, walk, listen to music, write reviews, and watch TV. If I could, I’d travel to England and tour the castles.

  19. Wow-I suppose that depends quite a bit on if I am not working because I won the lottery, or because I am unemployed and homeless!!
If it was the first, I would travel everywhere-luxurious vacations and humanitarian excursions, in between being a stay at home mom. I would take cooking classes, and maybe finally get up the nerve to try to write that book I have always wanted, and I would read. (notice it said nothing about cleaning on there!)
If it was the latter, I would try to find shelter in a library, and sneak in and read at night.

  20. If I wasn’t working and had enough money, I’d spend my time at home with my husband catching up on my hobbies and I’d want to travel at least once a month to a place I’ve never been.

  21. I would travel the world and volunteer at Red Cross.

  22. Hey that’s easy
I’d spend my days reading in between actually getting to do housework and having my evenings free with my husband

  23. I would spend my time in a country I love and learn their language.

  24. I would excercise and get myself into shape.

  25. If I had that much time, I would travel.

  26. If I didn’t have to work, that would make me rich I would think. So, I would do a lot with the money and free time I had. Travel with my family and friends, donate time and money to good causes, and try to realize my dreams. Anyone up for climbing Kilimanjaro with me? How about panning for gold in Alaska?

  27. My answer is just as simple- read all day long!

  28. I would love to be free to do whatever I pleased. Lounge around and read, shop, garden and walk.
I love your book cover and the book sounds great. Please enter me.

  29. EEEEEEEEEEEeeeeeeeee this book this book this book! I’m not all awake otherwise I’d be even more excited
If I didn’t have to work? I’d read, and cook. Constantly. I wouldn’t even mind clean up. And… I’d probably dabble in writing. And charity functions. And crafts. And pretty much everything else I’d love to do now. 😛
Congratulations on the new release, Anya!!!

  30. I’d run an animal sanctuary & have a great computer so I could do CG in my spare time

  31. If I didn’t have to work, and could afford to travel, then I’d travel. Otherwise, I’d read 😀

  32. If I did not have to work and financially sound, I would be visiting some of the on-line friends that I’ve known for ten + years, spend the day with them, and just basically enjoy ourselves.

Or, I would be working on some of my writing projects I just had no time (or energy) to concentrate on and/or start my goal to improve myself on my drawings.

  33. I would spend more time reading, visit some places I have been dreaming about, and get back into my drawing! 😀

  34. I’d spend more time with my family. Maybe travel with them

  35. travel, volunteer, sleep!

  36. I would try to enjoy lif and watch my grandkids more and take seveal vacations.

  37. Travel. As in become a nomad. See everywhere I could manage to go. It’s one of regrets from before the married with children life I have and love. That I should have seen more of the world before settling down. Because now, for as much as the DH and I would love to go traipsing about, kids are EXSPENSIVE. And completely worth it.

  38. If I didn’t have to work, I would like to go to culinary school and spend more time with my family and friends. 🙂

  39. I’d probably become a book reviewer since I have a rather large TBR pile!

  40. If I didn’t have to work (and had an endless money supply, lol), I would love to travel through Europe.

  41. If I was so wealthy that neither my fiance nor I had to work, I would travel, travel, travel!

  42. Read, read, read….and travel.

  43. Speaking as somebody’s who never had a job, the idea of being a professional student sounds rather nice.

    Plus travelling.

  44. I have a full time job regaurdless because i have a 6 year old daughter LOL!!!! I don’t have a paying job at the moment so i am going back to school for the Physical therapy program :). If i did not have to work and myself and family were taken care of all of our lives i would LOVE to travle. I have lived in Hawaii so i would go back some day, but not on the top of my list. I would visit Ireland and Scottland first. Also i would definitely be reading and eating dark chocolate hehehehe!!!!!

  45. Ooooooo, tricky question. If I didn’t have to work I would travel, volunteer, spend more time with my family, read more, and I think I would take up yoga.

  46. I would travel the world and spend a lot of time hanging out in the park, the library and museums.

  47. if i didn’t have to work i’d read, scrapbook, and travel.
I’d also keep my house spotless lol

  48. I would travel around the world! 😀

  49. If I did not have to work I would scuba dive and read. Blue water or lake water, it does not matter as long as I am not cold. And the books can be almost any, though paranormal romances are preferred.

  50. I would read, read, read….I think you get the idea.

  51. I am retired, so I garden, read , crossstitch,
blog on the computer and go window shopping whenever I want.

  52. Easy organize my life into neat little boxes when I wasn’t reading all the wonderful books from both print and ebook publishers.

  53. Assuming I had the money too, I’d love to travel and when not doing that, work with rescue animals and of course read more.

  54. If I didn’t have to work .. then I must have enough money to take care of my family… so with my free time I would travel to every continent, take pics, read and read some more. I would also write that story I have brewing in my head.

  55. Actually I don’t work. I am a stay at home wife. I sell a few items on ebay for some pocket change. I take care of the house and our new puppy. (that is a full time job)!

  56. I would read and go for walks in a forest with my dog

  57. oh, if I didn’t have to work, I’d definitely alternate between reading and computer gaming. I might write some, and probably geocache a bit, I’m pretty sure I could fill my time, I have lots of hobbies!

  58. I would do more volunteer work.

  59. Hi Anya, great giveaway I would love to be entered thank you.
