That’s the name of the game at Las Vegas’s Liege Hotel and Casino, where the hottest fantasies hinge on the roll of the dice and the tantalizing knowledge that anything could happen before sunrise.
Cocktail waitress Carinna wants a man to tie her up, not tie her down. Little does she know that her most willing partner yet has something else planned for this fiery Latina bombshell.
Dahlia is a burlesque dancer with a brain for business and a bod for sin. Her latest admirer may be a sweet talking Casanova, but despite what he thinks she’s not giving anything away for free.
Meanwhile Amy has the perfect plan to rob the Liege Casino blind…until the intimidating owner catches her red-handed. Now she knows she’s going to pay with both pleasure and pain.
Professional shill Cassidy is ready to experience a breathless rendezvous with her “friend with benefits.” But when he proposes five delicious nights of sexy blackjack, the stakes have never been so high.
For a shot at winning this book, answer the following question in the comments:
What subgenres/types of romance do you like best to read (contemporary, paranormal, historical, ect)? Do your preferred subgenres/types shift and change? Do you go through phases?
I pay strangers to sleep with me. I have my reasons…
But they’re not the ones you expect. For starters, I’m a funeral director taking over my dad’s business. Not exactly the sort of person you’d expect to fork over cash for the lust and urgency only live, skin-to-skin contact can create. Looking at me, you wouldn’t have a clue I carry this little secret so close it creases up like the folds of a fan. Tight. Personal. Ready to unravel in the heat of the moment.
Unsurprisingly, my line of work brings me face to face with loss. So I decided long ago that paying for sex would be one of the best (and arousing) ways to save myself from the one thing that would eventually cut far too deep.
But Sam was a mistake. Literally. I signed on to “pick up” a stranger at a bar, but took Sam home instead. And now that I’ve felt his heat, his sweat and everything else can I really go back to impersonal?
Let’s just hope he never finds out about my other life…
Author Bio:I was born and I lived awhile and did some stuff, and then some other things happened. Finally, I finished with that and started something else, and in 2007 my first book with Spice came out. It was called Dirty. Now I do things and write about stuff and spend some time attempting to achieve accomplishments, but mostly I like to hang around and spend my time doing whatnot and things.
Interview Questions:
1.) How did you get started in writing and how long have you been doing it? I’ve been writing ever since I could and decided to make a full-time go of it, officially, in 1998 when I became a stay-home mom.
2.) What genres/subgenres are your favorites to write within and do you have any aspirations to write outside your current genres/subgenres. Try something new? I really love fantasy and science fiction and would really love to write a horrifyingly terrifying horror novel someday. I’ve written fantasy and SF and would love to keep doing that. I got started with historical romance because I loved it so much, but I prefer to write contemporary, and I suppose I prefer to keep the bedroom door open rather than closed.
3.) What are you working on now and what releases do you have coming up? Right now I’m working on edits, edits, edits, but next on my plate is my third Order of Solace novel which will come out from Berkley Sensation sometime in 2010. I’ll have two Order of Solace novels, which are historical fantasy, sensual romance, out in the fall of 2009. I’ll also have my next release from Spice, DEEPER, which is a contemporary erotic paranormal novel (phew, what a mouthful) and that comes out in July.
Readers, here is the contest part. Answer this question in the comments to be entered in a drawing for a copy of STRANGER. Check back to tomorrow for the announcement of the winner. The winner will have until May 5th (that’s the last day of the contest) to contact me in order to collect the prize.
Tell us about one of your obsessions:
Megan says:Just one? Bah! Well, I’d have to say that right now Supernatural is my obsession. I love that show with the passionate fire of ten thousand fiery suns. It just keeps getting better and better and better. I love it so much I want to bake it pie and do its laundry.
Okay, blog readers, now you tell us about one of YOUR obsessions.

Welcome to the Ginormous Vegas II Celebration Contest!
I’m holding a month long celebratory contest leading up to the release of What Happens in Vegas…After Dark, which comes out on May 1st.
What Happens in Vegas…After Dark is the paranormal follow-up to What Happens in Vegas…. an anthology of contemporary stories that released last spring.
There are two parts to this contest. Below are the details for each.
The MAIN contest, (for the big prizes above)
You can enter two ways.
a.) Announce the contest and lead others here by posting the cover and the information below it (everything above the~*~*~*~) to your blog, website, Facebook or Myspace. Wherever you have permission to post it. After you’ve done that, post the link to your announcement in the comments TO THIS POST and you’re entered!
b.) If you don’t have a blog or anywhere to post the announcement, tell at least one other person you think might be interested about the contest. Then come back here and post in the comments TO THIS POST that you did so, and you’re entered!
The DAILY contests
(Almost) every day there will be a giveaway for a different book. Individual authors whom I have recruited to participate in the giveaways will be offering these, so they will all be autographed! Check the blog every day for a new chance to win. You’ll have about 24 hours to enter each contest by answering the question posed for that day.
Black out days: There will be no book giveaways on Sundays. Also, I will be attending the Romantic Times Convention (RT) in the middle of the contest. Right before RT starts, I’ll be at Disney with my family. When I’m Disney, the daily contest will take a hiatus, but will start back up when I get to the RT Con hotel. Clear as mud, huh? Don’t worry, I’ll let you know when the daily contests pause and resume as we’re going along.
The daily contests start tomorrow.
An added bonus
I have twenty three bajillion ARCs of What Happens in Vegas…After Dark. I’ll be giving some of these away randomly throughout the month but you’ll never know when. So some days you’ll have TWO chances to win.
Rules
1.) Over eighteen only. What Happens in Vegas…After Dark is EROTIC, peoples. That means no one under the age of 18 is allowed to play. Sorry! Come back after you’ve reached the age of majority.
2.) Don’t post the announcement/cover anywhere you don’t have permission.
3.) Non-US entrants for main contest: Folks outside the U.S. are allowed to enter the main contest, but it will be tricky if you win. We’ll have to decide on how to handle the prize, since it’s not possible for me to buy GCs to bookstores outside the U.S. We’ll have to decide between us an equivalent prize. But go ahead and enter. If you win, we’ll figure it out.
4.) Non-US entrants for daily contests: I will let you know on a daily basis whether or not the daily book prize contests are open to non-US peeps. I left that up to each individual author, since they’re the ones sending the books out.
5.) Sock-puppets and creepiness: I reserve the right to delete any comment that is a shady duplicate from one person trying to enter multiple times. I can see you!!! I know who you are!!! There’s this cool thing called an IP address, so I can easily weed out the sock puppets. I also reserve the right to immediately delete any comment that I deem creepy or abusive.
6.) How the winners are chosen: All winners are chosen at random by number by my husband. It is possible for one person to win more than once. That’s the nature of randomness. Sometimes it’s just dumb luck your number is chosen more than once.
7.) Authors can enter: Authors are readers too and are more than welcome to try for prizes.
I think that’s it! This post will remain sticky at the top of the blog throughout the duration of the contest for the main contest, so scroll down for the daily book giveaways. Have fun!
EDITED TO ADD:
Allison at Allison’s Reads was sweet enough to create and share this Sprout widget for the contest. If you’d like to use this, you’re more than welcome. Thank you, Allison!!
I should do these WAY more often, but I have a bad memory and am easily distracted (and am sort of oblivious). But I didn’t forget today! Go me.
Ann Aguirre’s Blue Diablo releases today. It’s the first of an exciting new urban fantasy series.
Corine Solomon is a handler—when she touches an object she instantly knows its history and its future. Using her ability, she can find the missing—which is why people never stop trying to find her. Like her ex-boyfriend Chance, who needs Corine’s gift to find someone dear to them both. But the search proves dangerous as it leads them into a strange world of demons and sorcerers, ghosts and witchcraft, zombies—and black magic…
Also, Jaci Burton’s Riding on Instinct also releases today. This is the next book in her very popular ongoing series.
Department of Justice agent Shadoe Grayson is out to prove she’s no rookie, and eagerly accepts her first undercover assignment at a strip club in New Orleans. Working with the Wild Riders, a government agency of bad boy bikers, her goal is to expose a corrupt DEA agent. All she has to do is learn to strip like a pro.
Standing in Shadoe’s way is arrogant and smokin’ hot Spencer King, her new partner and one of the Wild Riders. Spence thinks she looks more like a schoolteacher than a stripper, and doubts her ability to do the job. But when he mockingly challenges Shadoe to strip just for him, he finds out there’s more to the surprisingly sexy agent than by-the book rules and Government Issue pantsuits…
Okay, you all, don’t forget!!!! The Ginormous Vegas II Celebration Contest STARTS TOMORROW! Check back for details.
*Sniffle* The last book video I’ll make for this series.
Here’s the new book video for Witch Fury. YouTube didn’t mangle the quality as much as I thought it would. At least, not from where I’m sitting. I hope it’s okay for you.
April 8th will mark a contest to celebrate the May 1st release of What Happens in Vegas…After Dark. There will be a large main contest for big prizes (book GCs, anyone?) and daily book giveaways well into May from authors such as Beth Williamson, Lauren Dane, Patrice Michelle, Megan Hart, Elisabeth Naughton and many, many others.
I have always been the kind of person who lives in her head. At school I was the type who doodled in her notebook, stared out the window, occasionally fell asleep (usually only in aviation class), and got bad grades. Aimless until graduation, I was advised by my high school counselor to consider beauty school, but that path didn’t call to me. No one really knew what I was going to do with my life.
Of course, I knew. I’d always wanted to be a writer. I was going to do THAT. I was going to take all those worlds I had in my head and give them to other people to enjoy. Which, eventually, is exactly what I did.
Academically, I pulled it together after high school and went on to finish college and eventually got into graduate school. I was sensibly aiming for a career that would put food on my table if the writing thing didn’t pan out. But the writing thing did pan out and here I am living my dream, a thing I’m thankful for every day. Hey! Maybe all those bad grades through school weren’t such a bad thing after all.
These days people pay me to daydream. The world I’m daydreaming about today, right now, for this new series I’m doing for Berkley, is probably one of the more complex worlds I’ve ever written.
Imagine the fae. Imagine the fae are real. Imagine there is another race called the Phaendir, who have been known through the ages as druids. Imagine, for reasons they perceive to be righteous and noble, the Phaendir believe the fae are dangerous and should be kept away from the rest of the world.
Imagine a city called Piefferburg that takes up a large portion of the states we know as North Carolina and Virginia. This is where the fae have been imprisoned since the time America became America. Within its borders is every type of fae known to the world–the Seelie and Unseelie Courts that are filled with the shining and the nightmarish alike, goblins, hobgoblins, the Birch Ladies, waterhorses, kelpies…the list goes on.
Now imagine it is the present day and they all want out.

Hoooooly hotness. I want this guy for Christmas. My husband wouldn’t mind, right?
This is the cover for the late September, 2009 release of Hot for the Holidays. My story is titled Sweet Enchantment and will kick off (though will be a stand alone) a new series I’m writing for Berkley Sensation.
As soon as I get Wicked Enchantment sent in to my editor (I’m soooooo close), I’ll talk a little more about this new series. Right now I feel like I’d be jinxing myself. Who, me? Superstitious? Yeah, a little bit.
Also…it’s almost May, which means it’s almost time for the release of this book. I have an idea brewing in my head for a BIG contest, something along the lines of the month long affair that I did for The Chosen Sin. My idea is still unformed at the moment, but I need to form it quick ’cause time’s a-wasting.
Tell me, please. What sort of contests do you like best? What kind of prizes do you like the best? Books, of course, I’m sure. How about GCs? To bookstores or another type of store? An iPod Touch? An ebook reader? I dunno…give me a place to start. I think my brain is deadline-fried at the moment.
